Nina's 1000 YouTube Subscribers Celebration hop

Hello friends!
I am excited to be part of a super fun blog hop.
You see, my sweet friend Nina-Marie Trapani has passed the 1000 subscribers mark on her YouTube channel. Nina-Marie is a young and talented paper-crafter. Her cards are always detailed and beautiful and she has been designing stamps for companies like Simon Says Stamp.

You can find out all about Nina Marie's work here.

For this celebration, I decided to create two cards with a HEART.
s
Flower Heart Thin Die (Penny Black)
Today's card is a bit a of an "interesting" combo--foil paper and watercolor.

I love the negative part of the watercoloring from the die cut. The background was the result from smooshing the watercolors (with Spectrum Aqua Markers).
love you to bits
I kept the color scheme simple and incorporated a die cut from foil paper.  The copper paper seems to be a good match for this color combo.

My next card is all about using a music stamp, pattern paper and a touch of foil.
love you to bits -001
With the help of MISTI, I stamped colorful music clef from  Happy Hearts.
The heart was colored in Wink of Stella (gold).

I love Nina for creating this special blog photos for us participants....
Nina is ROCK STAR, I tell ya!

Beautiful color combos. I like the design of the card. I always struggle with smaller die cuts on a card and what to do with rest of card bar. Your card is very balanced.

VIRGINIA!!!! You are amazing girl!! i just adore these cards; the delicateness of the heart on the first one is breathtaking and the watercolor background is to die for. And the second card... the colors are GORGEOUS! I love the fade from teal to red, pink, orange and purple on the music notes! PERFECTION on both. I love Nina's work, too, but I went a little gaga when I saw your first card. That copper paper looks dynamite with your watercolor-y background. I'm even smitten with that little line of hearts at the bottom. The way you mixed your patterned paper with the stamping on your second card is awesome. Love it, too.
