Gentle Whisper Die

Hello friends!
Once in a while, there is a new die coming along and you simply can't say no.
s

This one called Gentle Whisper II is one of those.
It has every bit of the detail of an orchid plant.

Just about 5-6 years ago, I had several orchid plants. But with my diminishing time with house work and my ever growing obsession with stamping/blogging, my orchid eventually gave up on me. One by one, they got dry, shriveled up and withered away and then the inevitable came...they all died.

lots of love
Well, not any more, I made it come alive again :)

I die cut 2 pieces of orchid with Canson paper and then applied Distress Inks with the TH water Brush pen. It's so easy to add shades of colors since the die is in such a perfect size. I trimmed off some and arranged them as realistically as I can.

lots of love (close-up)

With Diamond Border, I can easily embellish the design. As usual, I added my favorite things-silver threads and sequins. There are SO many new orchid stamps out there, but an intricate die (fool-proof for me) like this...is to "die for"( not really, but you know what I mean).

I made this TODAY (Saturday) and I had to share it with you ASAP (LOL).
It is so uplifting when you can create a card like this (thanks to the well-designed products)
Hope you weekend is going well.

I have the orchid cling stamp but the die looks gorgeous too - you made it sing, Virginia! And sorry your real orchids all died :(

This IS really beautiful Virginia. I NEED this too as I can't seem to remember to water a 'live' plant. I could be very happy looking at that! (AND, no need to water it! LOL)

What a treat on a Sunday morning (here) that's also the first full day of Spring. Just love the way you design your cards and use dies so skillfully. This one is so tranquil and sweet.

Love how you painted that flower and combined it with the diamond border!

Wow, Virginia, this orchid is so beautiful. It honestly looks like it would like to come off the card and live in a pot. Your diamond border is exactly the right touch.
