Mail-Friendly Butterfly Card with Stitching (a small giveaway)!

Hello friends!
I have been having fun creating mail-friendly cards lately.  Here is the link if you miss seeing my first one. I have a little surprise for you at the end of the post.

I set out to make it nearly as one layer.  I masked a border with a piece of thin paper and Distress Inks (Blue Print, Tumble Glass, Dusty Concord and Wild Violet). That part of ink blending was FUN.
With the help of MISTI, I stamped Miniature Florals II from Clearly Besotted.
s

Have a fabulous day
After that, I decided to keep it airy and light, so I added alcohol-inked Calais Butterflies (Memory Box). This butterfly die is ever so versatile...
s

you can see my previous version here over Simon Says Stamp store here

Can you believe that the silver "antenna" was an after-thought? While stitching, I realized that it would be awesome to have two threads hanging out as the antenna. That was what happened :)

2016-03

Lastly, I want to thank you for watching/commenting/liking my recent video. Please see here, in case you miss seeing it.  I am definitely feeling encouraged to make more how-to videos.

Since this card is mail-friendly, I want to mail this VERY card to one of the random commenter. I know in this day and age, leaving a comment is time-consuming and challenging. I really appreciate my regulars. I will include Sweet Flight metal die as my small token of thanks.
All are welcome (international followers are included).

You made a lovely card. My sister asks me for cards but it can't require extra postage. It is always a challenge to find a design that looks detailed and layered without adding thickness.

Thanks for adding the recipe. I always find color combinations challenging.

LOVE this card, Virginia (especially because purple is my favorite color and I have a "passion" for butterflies...even have a Papillon dog, which is French for butterfly!)

What a lovely card, Virginia, and lovely chance to receive a card and gift from you. I think my favorite on this card: butterflies with silver antennae yet!!! Soon we all will be visited by butterflies; and, although this winter wasn't so bad, the idea of spring is excellent. My daffodils are up about 5 inches so soon their sunny faces will cheer me.
