The Magic of Fun Foam

Hello friends!
I am sure you all know a few ways of using Fun Foam for shaker cards. You can see YT videos from the uber talented Jennifer McGuire's videos in using fun foam to stamp (see here) and add dimensions ( see here).

Today's post is about using Fun Foam in its original form. I use fun Foam for shaker cards and adding dimensions mostly. However, the latest March Card Kit gave me the ideas!
s
I did a Google search about Peeps. This Easter marshmallow treats are not as prevalent and obvious to me since I rarely buy treats other than chocolate. The peep images are mostly in bright colors and appear to be so soft and sweet....so, Fun Foam seems like the perfect choice for sweet paper creations.

Here are my takes with Fun Foam.
Squishy hugs
Aren't they darling? And they sure look "squishy" since they are made with Fun Foam. Everything was stamped and die cut with this card. The only extra thing I did was to hand draw the face of the tiniest peep :)

With that idea, we can now extend it to my next card.
I simply die cut more colorful pieces of Fun Foam and tucked in a few tiny peeps!
peep-filled marshmellow hugs
The "egg shell" basket was created with Oval Spellbinders and The Next Level Embossing Folder (woven).
A note about creating the "basket"...make sure you diecut the shape to you desire first and then make it through the woven embossing folder. If you mess up the order, obviously, the Woven textures will be "squished"!! Ask how I know...yup, my first try was a basket case. Thanks to the beauty of die cutting, this card was really fun and easy.  For the "basket",  I thought it would be cool to mimic the shape of an egg!

Hope you like the egg-cellent ideas in using Fun Foam and Woven Embossing Folder.

Thanks for stopping by!

Wonderful. I am amazed because "Peeps" were only sold during Easter and now they have evolved into essentially every holiday. I love your cards and those peeps look ready to munch on. Like you, I am a chocolate fiend...peeps not so much.

Yep, those look exactly like peeps. Highly sought after by the sweet tooth brigade. Amazing that fun foam does such a good job for them. What's more amazing is your use of them. Those baskets you're making look like the real thing. So it appears you're going to have all your Easter cards finished early.

totally adorable Virginia. Peeps are not known to me at all here in NZ, so I did wonder what they were all about. Love your basket with the peeps peeking out.
