Happy April!

 Dear friends!
It is bittersweet as I write this...
(photo taken in Regent's Park, London)

I have been blogging about my card-making since 2009.  I enjoy sharing cards here--good ones and bad ones. Stamping is my life!  Just RECENTLY, I got the biggest news in my stamping life ....Martha Stewart (yes, that Martha!!) e-mailed me (can you imagine the shock!!!)!
She asked me to join her in the new expansion line of paper-crafting. My job will be making card samples and showcasing all sorts of ways in using the awesome products! I look forward to this new venture!! After consulting with my family about my blogging here, I've decided that it is time to say good bye. Thank you for your support and love throughout this amazing journey.

(yeah, like... in my wildest dream)

Happy April Fool's Day :)

Back to the regular programming.....

(back tA very quick post about  this die Cute Cluster!
It is one my favorite dies and I simply can not get enough of it.
s

Have you explored the possibilities of using dies and Pattern Paper lately?
love you

About the Cluster:
~make die cut with pattern paper AND white card stock.
~remove the white pieces and leave most part of the pattern paper underneath
~create a "circle" center with inks: swipe two ink pads (Rosie Cheeks and Duckling from Simon Says Stamp) and make the die cut. Assemble.

I selected 3 different patterns/sizes from Simple Story and created a background.

Ding--->To jazz up the pattern paper, add Gold Stickles (or any colors of Stickles) on the polka dot background.

I hope this post inspires you to use your paper stash and dies. You will be pleasantly surprised what you can create!
Thanks for stopping by!

Fabulous card, Virginia! Great April Fools joke. You almost had me. I read part of it and said, holy moly, then stopped and thought, is this an April fools joke? LOL! Too funny! :-)

I think my heart stopped when I initially read this. Shame on you making an old lady cry. Then I got mad at Martha Stewart (not for the first time) for taking you away from us. Once my heart started beating again, and I realized you were pulling my leg, not to mention my heartstrings, I took a look at that sweet card of yours. Just love how you use patterned paper and embellishments.

You had me going, Virginia! That Martha Stewart would call you: well, that would be smart planning on her part, as you've be awesome for her 'team'...but the 'not blogging' statement! YIKES! Whew for the April Fool's joke and great to know you're not leaving us! As for your card: love x love it (and I'm *not* joking *grin*). I think that lovely die may need to come to live at my place...

You had me fooled. I was going 'oh, no!' but somehow I felt something was not quite right. I think it was the title of your post that gave you away lol.

I spent the morning volunteering and everyone had an April Fools joke, so as I read your post--I thought April Fools--your card is so cheery, love the paper ...it all goes together excellently.

Yep, I'm a sucker. You had me, hook, line and sinker! Honestly, you are SO talented and amazing that news like that would not surprise me one bit!!!! I actually got mad at Martha for stealing you for a minute! Luckily she is off the hook -- for now, anyway! Your card is the most cheerful piece of art I have seen in a while...LOVE the colors, they remind me of Mary Engelbreight style!

Backfired a bit on Facebook hey! People dont read everything, what a laugh. I was going to comment on facebook and thought I better come here and let you know that for some reason facebook and my ipad have become incompatible. I can sometimes comment but more times than not I cannot comment and when I tap like it lights up but doesnt register. And no this isnt a continue on of April Fools day just another of those stupid technical issues that has been happening for months. So sad I do like to leave a witty comment here or there just to remind people I am still around. Now onto this card, its stunning I love it so stop tempting me with this die ok
