Hello friends!

These super cute and smiley images are begging for a shaker card, in my opinion.
You do not need to be an expert on watercoloring to create a card like this.

This card looks complicated? Please do not let it fool you!
(if Virginia can do it, so CAN YOU!).

1. make a watercolor background: I white-emboss the images and used Kuretake watercolors to color the entire design. It was so soothing to color your own watercolor page (no fancy coloring book needed).
2. make die cut frame: layer two Stitched Rectangles die and make the die cut. Save the frame.
3. cut/trim a piece of the acetate and adhere it with Multi Medium Glue
4. apply craft foam, pop dots all around the frame edges
5. make sure all the cut pieces fit nicely
6. add assorted sequins and adhere the frame to the watercolor paper, assemble
Ding---> Take any of your circles, oval, rectangles die and make a FRAME. You can totally apply this idea to create a simple shaker card!

Awesome card! Could one like the 24 set as much as this set do you think?

A happy, colorful card. I've never attempted a shaker card; however, this one gives me hope that yes I can.

Thank you, everyone, for your kind comments. They always make me smile:)
----> Karen,I think 24 colors are sufficient. You can get some extra colors that 36 colors set comes with. I actually think I should have just gotten 24 colors....but oh well. I enjoy 36 colors so much! You won’t regret it, that’s for sure. Have fun!
hugs, Virginia

What a colourful array of umbrellas! Loving your recent posts using the Zig Kuretake Gansai watercolour set. May have to break down and give that medium a try :-)

I do love shaker cards! This one is bright and happy and perfectly watercolored. I think I may have to give this a try. I'm used to making stamped or die cut shakers, but this one with watercolors is quite inspiring. Very sweet! Bev
