Using Small Stamps for One Layer

Hello friends!
I have the pleasure of taking photographs of the peonies from my yard the other day.
Here are the gorgeous peonies in full bloom.
2016-062

And of course, I have to share a peony card, too.
s
I have been enjoying this Altenew Stamp Peony Bouquet set so much
and every time I used it, I tend to pick the large flower in this set. However, I noticed all the smaller stamps in this set are just lovely as they have fine and ornate details.

love you

I adore this type of stamping: free style---->my way!
love U

I kept it nearly one layer except that I popped up the sentiment with some dimensions. I also added my favorite things--strings and sequins. Well, that's it today.

Happy Saturday!

Wow, I'm the first to comment here today! (that never happens).

Those peonies are beautiful - and smell lovely, don't they? Our neighbour gave me free reign to take some of hers too, but how did you extend the life of them once they're cut? Ours started to wilt after one day, but I'm guessing my salt+vinegar in water treatment to get the bugs out probably didn't help it much either (but a couple of bugs did come out that way, though one black ant managed to survive that and my vigorous shaking to get them off to begin with - since they're attracted to the sugars they secrete).

Gorgeous. I don't have this stamp but do have the other Altenew Peony stamp so will need to check it out for some of the smaller ones, a beautiful card

Okay, now I need that peony set!! (not really, though!!) What a STUNNING card. I love the different colors that you used on this "almost" one layer card. One layer cards are killer for me. I always get to the end, which is usually the sentiment, and ruin it. I wind up having to make a layered card to fix it so I rarely try anymore. Really like the gold thread too. Beautiful detail.

I SO love peonies, Virginia - in any colour! And of course, I love that Altenew stamp set :-) You created a wonderful "garden" of peonies on your card, which is perfect as they're all in bloom right now in our "neck of the woods".

Beautiful card, Virginia! My peony hasn't flowered this year - I think it's sulking because it got extra soil over it when we were doing excavation works in the garden last year :(

Wow! The card is really stunning. Love that you chose the smaller peony...and made it spectacular. Creating that partial frame around your card just makes it extraordinary. As is your photography of your real peonies. What a beautiful garden you must have.
