One Layer Card with Symmertry

Hello friends!
s
Floral Frame

I am sharing a one layer card with you today!
This one layer was easy to line up since the set comes with two symmetrical stamps.
With the help of MISTI, I came up with a simple design.

birthday wishes

Why symmetry, you might ask....
In the past, I had shared how symmetry draws our eyes and we find it attractive to look at. This time, I am quoting from Wikipedia:

In aesthetics The relationship of symmetry to aesthetics is complex. Humans find bilateral symmetry in faces physically attractive; it indicates health and genetic fitness. Opposed to this is the tendency for excessive symmetry to be perceived as boring or uninteresting. People prefer shapes that have some symmetry, but enough complexity to make them interesting.

So... with that in mind, my card is not perfectly symmetrical. With stamping, you can achieve that easily with the smaller stamps and embellishments. I personally love to dd my own touches and find the process to be very freeing.

In case you wonder how I stamped the images in colors, I did one stamp at a time. It is even easier with mini Cube Stamps like this and this and this. After stamping, I colored them in Altenew Artist Markers (set A).  I did re-stamp the large floral image (with MISTI, still in place). I find the last stamp to be very effective.

I hope you are having a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

You've convinced me...I need this stamp set. Each & every card you've made with it gets better & better. LOVE the symmetry on this one.

I SEE the symmetry....so lovely. I find using the cubes a lot easier than the large inks. I am having trouble with Nuvo....more practice. Beautiful, colorful card.

Very pretty! Interesting about symmetry. I tend to think symmetrical but designs look better not being super balanced.
