Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge #409

s

Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge !! Thank you for joining us for theFantastic Florals Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too :-)

This week the challenge is...

Anything Goes

We are using Simon Says Stamp products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some, we love to see them used :-)

s

For my project, I am using one the new popular large cling stamp "Elizabeth".

I know that some people may get intimidated by the size of this stamp (measures 5.75"x 5.75"). Well, it is actually a plus since you can use it in so many creative ways.

congratulations

I decided to stamp on the side and let the point meet in the middle.

I did the "Emboss Resist" technique once the stamping and clear-embossed image were done. I applied all sorts of Distress Inks (see links at the end of this post).

congratulations (close-up)

Lastly, I also want to mention that it did take me a few tries to come up with a good inking with various embossing powder and composition.
Basically, what I want to say is...
Do not give up inking when you know you have a great stamp in your hand.
Just keep at it and you will be so pleased that you tried. 😊

As always, Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store!
s
So now it's YOUR turn ! Happy Crafting !!

Truly beautiful. When 'seeing' the products you used--clear embossing and yet it looks like a color---perhaps a very light tan/gold. Excellent idea using this gorgeous and intricate stamp in such an inventive way. That's one of the reasons your blog is so wonderful---inventive ways helps us to 'see' new possibilities.

Beautiful card Virginia, the embossed design is gorgeous, it looks like gold, and I love the blend of colours, so pretty! This really reminds me of the colours and fabric of India, so bright and vibrant :-)

Gorgeous card. Love everything about it. Would like to know how you did the sentiment? Was it a stamp too or did you handwrite it as I love the font??

I love reading everyone's comments....thank you!

Angie1966: for the sentiment, I white-embossed (stamp in Versamark and add white embossing powder...heat set)the word "congratulations" from the stamp set "Sweet Cake" on black card stock. And that's it! Hope this helps.
