I started out with a piece of White Sticky Back Canvas from Ranger. I broke down my process and it might help you to get started if you have never tried Sticky Back Canvas.

1. trim off the edges and peel off a few strands (optional)
2. apply Gesso with finger or an old paint brush, let dry (overnight, if possible)
3. with the sticky back in tact and positioned in MISTI , stamp the pepper image with inks
4. apply Distress Crayons to pepper image directly onto Sticky Back Canvas with tip of the finger
5. stamp the sentiment and peas on Parchment Paper,
6. peel off the stick back and adhere to card stock
7. assemble and adhere strings, add Pico Embellishment

I am no expert on Mix Media, however, using it on my card is not as complicated as it seems. You can easily frame it if you like the result!

Last but certainly not the least...

Having a serious love affair with the texture from the canvas on your card. The coloring with the crayons is masterful...something I need to work on. Just an amazing piece of work. You do this shading and blending beautifully.

This is so cool! I have some sticky back canvas at home, that I snatched up on sale a long time ago - you inspired me to try this! (After I get back from my Europe vacation...)
