Altenew 3rd Anniversary Blog Hop & Giveaway

Hello friends!
Warning: photo-heavy post 😍

As you may have heard... Altenew is turning 3!!! Today is the 4th day of special birthday celebration blog hop over Altenew.  I have been a fan of Tasnim and Jennifer's stamp company from Day 1 and I so happy to be part of the Altenew Card Design Team. If you come from the talented Nicole Picadura, you are in the right place!

For this special hop, I want to share how to s-t-r-e-t-c-h the ornate cover plates.

Altenew File19
ss

Medallion Cover Plate A and Medallion Plate B
I created a "embellishment" with part of the layering cover plates. It is definitely very manageable as long as you cut around the petals.

Altenew File21

The idea and execution are simple yet effective. I think this is a good way to create something unique and colorful.

Altenew File20

A birthday celebration is not the same without a CAKE!
I am combining TWO sweet and yummy sets.

To create a one layer card, I started out with the one that is a the front and center-cupcake! I then stamped the images and created a mask with a piece of copy paper.
Altenew_LayeredCupcake_Virginia Lu #1

It is very satisfying to stamp images like these because they are so three-dimensional looking and yet it's flat! Altenew's Cupcake stamp set is by far the most 3-D cake images that I have ever seen!
Altenew File11

With some planning ahead and masking, it really is easier than you think.

We were asked to pick out our favorite Altenew projects. Our a-MAY-zing DT Coordinator May Sukyong Park compiled them into this collage! 💓

Very cool, huh?

Prizes: Altenew is giving away $50 gift certificates to FIVE lucky winners.
There are also 10 awesome companies who are celebrating with us, and they are offering the following prizes:
