Altenew Stencil Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello friends!
πŸ˜‰Warning: Super photo-heavy post 😊
Today is an exciting day...
a
Altenew's June Stencil  release and the blog hop is on! You can find out all the details from
Altenew Blog. If you arrive from the talented Svitlana Shayevich, you are in the right place. If not, come right in and join the hop.
I am using 3 stencils and let's get right to it!

1.  Cube Builder Stencil
s

There is a very helpful visual guide on the package and you can easily create cubes.
Namely, you stencil on one side and then FLIP the stencil over (after cleaning the inked stencil a bit) and match the cubes and you stencil some more....you've got yourself some COOL cubes!

Altenew_CubeBuilderStencil_Virignia Lu#2

I decided to create colorful cubes with inks and Cube Builder Stencil.

Altenew_CubeBuilderStencil_Virignia Lu#3

I paired it up with the Crafty Friends stamp set and it worked beautifully.

Altenew_CubeBuilderStencil_Virignia Lu#4

The Golden Peach Embossing Powder really jazzes up the sentiment, don't you think?

Altenew_CubeBuilderStencil_Virignia Lu#1

It is easy to create a graphic background with the stencil like this.
Altenew_CubeBuilderStencil_Virignia Lu#5

Pairing up the ice cream image (from Cake Love)with the Cube Builder Stencil seems perfect.

Altenew_CubeBuilderStencil_Virignia Lu#7
I first stamped the ice cream image with the help of MISTI. Then I made a mask (with a piece of stamped image on copy paper, cut it out and covered it). After that, it was just simple stenciling.

My next stencil is Watercolor Stripes
s

This stencil is absolutely versatile. I decided to try a colorful approach.

Altenew_Watercolorstripe_VirginiaLu#3

I used the 2nd lightest shade from the Altenew Inks and applied in various colors.
Altenew_Watercolorstripe_VirginiaLu#2

The cake image from Cake Love was embossed in Antique Silver  and colored with Altenew inks and Altenew Artist Markers.

Altenew_Watercolorstripe_VirginiaLu#1

Last, but certainly not the least....it's Mega Rose Stencil

s
The image is so beautiful that one layer seems to be ideal.
This mail-friendly wedding card is a perfect example how stencils can be the vital arsenal for paper-crafting. The sentiment from Cake Love completes the design.

I can not stress enough that Altenew Inks blend so nicely. They blend like BUTTER!  I didn't even add a single embellishment except to brush it with some Perfect Pearl."

Less is more. I think this card is just that.

I love your use of the stencils. Although all the cards are beautiful, I think my fav is the striped one. There is something about it that just really stands out for me.

Kara Stainbrook said...

So beautiful! Your creations are stunning

Gail Plaskiewicz said...

Wow, you did get really creative as you said and I love, love, love it!
I love the cube stencil and how you used them. I love stencils but I don't think I use them properly. They say you should stick it to the paper but I don't know what to stick it with. It obviously has to be something that won't ruin the paper. I've done some stencils on flour sack dish towels and they came out so cool!
I love the stripes too and not to many people used that one. The cake looks perfect on there, like it just belongs. Love it!
The rose stencil would be great for my mom as her name is Rose. A lot of people used that one and I like how you used it.
All your cards are so beautiful and creative. Thanks for showing us all of them and for giving us the chance to win something. I want some of the stencils you used when I win and then I can get creative too.
