SSS July Card Kit (Take 2)

Hello friends!
Time to share my 2nd creation with the July Card Kit!
I didn't do anything fancy and keep the design simple. I made this card after getting back from Taiwan ( getting over the jet lag and a bad cold).

I decided to work with the pattern paper (from the kit) and it was super easy to put together once you have the idea.

Steps:
1. stamp the sentiment in Versamark and heat emboss in white
2. stack a few dies to create a chipboard
3. add  Nuvo to the polka doe (on white only)
4. use fringe scissors to jazz up the pattern paper (add a happy factor, so to speak). I used an old Martha Stewart fringe scissors, but you can use any of these (see here)

Hope you find these steps helpful when it comes to kits like this.

So cute, Virginia. I'm not understanding "stacking a few dies to create a chipboard". Could you explain a bit more?

Note to Sue/foleysfriend: when you make a die cut with regular card stock, it is usually still thin. To create thickness and sturdiness, you glue a few (3-4 pieces of dies) to add dimensions. When they are "stacked", it looks much like a chip board. Hope this answers your question! Thanks for stopping by! xo

Is that your bathing suit? Bet you look great in a polka-dot bikini. Looks fantastic on this card, too. Love how you embellish and alter these patterned papers to make them even more special.

All I can think of is that teeny weeny bikini song now!! This is so FUN!! Love your background, the fringe on the bottom and your stamping of the bikini under the die cut. Great card!!
