Simon Says Stamp DieCember Release Blog Hop

Hello friends!

warning: heavy photo post

I am super excited to share some projects with the new release from Simon Says Stamp DieCember! This yearly event always make me go WOW! This year is also no exception.
The die designs just keep getting better and better. Sometimes, I am so inspired by the designs and I have always have fun creating with them.

Today's blog hop starts from Simon Says Stamp Blog. If you arrive from the fabulous Gayatri Murali, then you are in the right hop. If not, come on down and join the fun hop for inspiration and prizes!!

s

Let's get to today's project featuring THREE Dies from this release, shall we?
(all product links are highlighted in colors like this)
My first card is a scene card. I don't create scene cards often, but with the lovely Window Frame Die, I was able to create the scene with Merry and Bright effortlessly.

Happy Christmas

I started out with die-cutting the window and then did the Inlaid DieCutting.
Basically, you die cut each piece out and then fit the piece back to its place like a puzzle.
Once I did that, I started the mask-stamping with the snowman and tress.

Simon Says Stamp Diecember#2

I had a hard time to find a proper spot for my sentiment. So, I came up with a solution and added a window sign. "Happy Christmas" now looks like it's written on a chalk board! Yes? 😊
The "snow effect" was created with White Nuvo Drops

from: Simon Says Stamp My 2nd card showcased this funky and lovely Loop The Loop Die.
Merry Christmas

I stamped the sentiment Merry Christmas in multi colors with the help of MISTI.
Merry Christmas (2)

I layered two dies and left the colorful one in tact (without taking the negative dies out).

Merry Christmas
Last but certainly not the least, the following is my favorite from this release!

CORBEL CURVED BORDER Wafer Dies s494 Diecember
CORBEL CURVED BORDER Wafer Dies s494 Diecember

This die is absolutely amazing, isn't it?
Simon Says Stamp Diecember (3)

It is so versatile that I decided to used it on an angle.
I stamped Floral Bliss in Distress Oxide and colored it with Wink of Stella (Clear).

thank you

The Tonic Ivory Bouquet pattern paper and the Border Die are perfect together!
I also added a touch of glitter on top with DCWV Glitter Metallic.
The Tonic Nuvo Golden Sunset Crystal Drops are ideal for adding small droplets of golden goodness.

Lorraine Turner said...

Wow Virginia three very different designs showing off some of Simon Says Stamps newly released dies. I am a new crafter so did not know about this event. I only dropped onto it because I watch Laura Bassen
Nichol Spohr video tutorials now. I am glad you have used the stitched window die Virginia because I feel this can be incorporated in a variety of different themes of cards throughout the year. Then the loopy edge die (well what can I say) this is spectacular but I wouldn't have thought of doing as you did on your design, but it is a great effect with the coloured one behind the white plain one at the front. Finally, the Corbel Curved Border which is so pretty, I love how you have put this at an angle on the portrait layout. I have never come across the Tonic Ivory Bouquet pattern paper before but it is beautiful, something else I think I will need to build into my stash eventually. Thank you for demonstrating your skills through these Simon Says Stamps products. :O)
