Altenew March 2018 Inspiration Challenge!

Hello friends!
It is my turn to host the Altenew Inspiration Challenge!
How about we take a little virtual traveling first?

My family and I took a cruise in 2014 to Santorini, Greece. This was one of the snapshots from the beautiful island of Oia. I drew the inspiration from the blue-domed church and rooftop structures. It was amazing to soak in the sun and feel the amazing sea air. Under the hot sun, we strolled around narrow streets alongside a donkey! From this iconic photo, you can find the colors Blue, Coral and Light Brown.

With that, I came up with the idea of creating a colorful floral background with the Frosted Garden Stamp Set.
Altenew-FrostedGarden-Virginia #1

With the help of a stamp positioner, I stamped the images with Dusk, Dew Drops, and Aqualicious for the foliage and used Coral Bliss and Pink Pearl for the flowers. This can be done easily, especially with the Mini Ink Cubes.

Once I finished stamping, I made the die cut with the beautiful “Thinking of You” Die. I then swiped Caramel Toffee Crisp Dye Ink onto the white cardstock.

For the sentiment, I made three “Thinking of You” die cut pieces. For the one on top, I added a strip of Silver Glitter Tape before I ran it through the Mini Blossom Die Cutting Machine.

I hope that this post inspires you to be creative! You can make yours floral, modern, cutesy or geometric – the sky is the limit! I am looking forward to seeing your take on this challenge

Lastly, I want to share a memory down the lane with this travel photo of my family.
My trip to Santorini was extra special as I got to meet my dear crafting friend Vicky P. and her hubby Aris. They also made their first trip to Santorini to meet us. It is indeed a trip to remember.

I am so glad this trip plays a huge part in this month's inspiration challenge!
Did you notice that even our outfit matched with the challenge colors!?

What a soothing color combo and you've replicated it beautifully on your floral card. All the "Virginia touches" enhance it perfectly and love the bit of sparkle on the diecut sentiment.

The blue of the ocean and roof are beautiful. Your card is wonderful, again blue accents that are so striking. Thinking of you die is an excellent choice especially with the strip of glitter. The colors of the flowers are wonderful. Beautiful!
