Wednesday Wonders

I'm VERY honored and thrilled to be spotlighted on today's Wednesday Wonders by our ULTRA talented stamping Goddess Deborah (aka Gigi). Here's Wednesday Wonders . Thank you, Deborah, for taking the time to look through my Flickr photostream late at night before posting.

My NEW craft room

Dr. John and I have been talking about it for a long while...that is, changing our guest room to the CRAFT room. You see, we used to have two twin beds in the guest room. When my in-laws came to visit, ths was THEIR room with the bath room. Since my in-laws are getting old and they don't travel to see us any more (sniff, sniff),  we've decided it's time to change it into my craft room. I was working there with my cards along with all the old funiture and clothes in the paper stuff was all over the place and the pink paint became an eye sore as it looked out-dated.

We finally got our (mainly my) act together. we had painter Paul's help and all new funiture from IKEA! It took us about two weeks to transform the pink room to the GREEN room. I LOVE it there...Stephanie said that I can stay there 24/7 now. But not so fast, where is the kitchen and the bar???
Joke on the side....
when Dr. John assembled the IKEA furniture, I heard a loud noise from the next room, I asked what was going on with the noise. The answer I got was:  "I'm busy banging and screwing!! Wanna help?"

I now have ample shelf space and you will no longer see paper scattered on the floor! All the embellishments are neatly contained in the jars and the HA stamps are all in the pull-out drawers. This room is far from fancy, but it's just a lovely room to craft...yup, lucky me :)

ANOTHER tease from Dr. John: "No more excuses!!". I asked him to elaborate. " Now I expect you to win every challenges that comes your way...". He then laughed along with David agreeing on the side....
 Oh brother!

COOKIES-ME love cookies

I made Chocolate Chip Cookies EVERY week. Dr. John lives on these ...he NEEDS them to get though the day. This batch was made last night...YUM!

1 cup margarine/butter

1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tea. baking soda
1/2 tea. salt
1 cup chocolate chips

pre-heat oven to 350 F.  and bake for 8 min.

Look what I made

Here is one of the cards that I created for the Sketchfest at Caardvarks.
I love how this card turned out. That Silhouette cling stamp does miracles! All I did was embossing it with fine white powder on brown card stock and run it through my Cuttlebug. voila! You then have a beautiful image to work with!

MY very own blog!!

I didn't think I need a blog...I mean, who will follow me!? Who wants to know EVERYTHING about me-little me? Then the more I visited other friends' blog, I realize that it is NICE to have a little corner in the cyber world. I had made so many wonderful friends over my hobby, namely, stamped card-making.

Just less than a year ago, I was still coping with missing my DD Stephanie's away to university. She (and I) had such tough first year!!! Back then, when I drove her to the bus terminal to return to her campus in Toronto, we both will cry our heads off!! And now she is into her 3rd year, well-adjusted, she even became a mentor for Freshman this year! Along the way, I picked up my long-lost hobby:card-making!

I love Hero Art's blog and that blog has literally changed MY life! I met so many friends and get to meet them and will meet more in October! I'm super excited about the Scrap booking weekend to be held near me in Ingersol, Ontario, Canada...

For now, I'm content that I have my blog as it is a great way to connect with friends and relatives in this day. So I'll say :"Yes, Virginia....there is a blog and you can have one:) "
