Just sharing...a bit about me.

Not feeling particularly creative today, but the good news is---I did get my new order of stamps from Simon Says Stamps last week-Hooray!
I am sharing a card I made with Penny Black stamps. I made this a while ago, but never got around to post it. As you can tell that I love the image of Polly and twines so much ......
Thank you from the bottom of my heart
The Polly image is perfect for a fall day like today. I trimmed the twines and make it like a scarf....with the wind blowing.

Anyhow I Saw these fun questions from Ivy's blog (see here ) and I thought it would be fun to share a bit about me. Feel free to copy and paste and share it in your blog!

It used to red, it's now orange

There are SO many, but I think Macaron is my current fav!
4. What ticks you off at the moment?
I am actually quite content :).... well, ok.. if I don't get time to play in the craft room, I get cranky!
5. Your favorite pet?
I don't have pets at the moment, but my son's love of finches got me into bird-loving
6. Black or white?
7. Your biggest fear?
Swimming in the ocean ( I can't swim)
 8. Best feature?
I am easy-going and helpful

Enjoy simple things and be thankful

Finding the silver lining in all things and situations
11. Guilty pleasure?
A bag of good old potato chips in front of TV

Eye Spy Feature over Basic Grey

Just sharing a special feature from Basic Grey called Eye Spy. And guess what!? My little paper-piecing card from Lawnscaping challenge card (see here ) is selected to be featured today! Please go
here and check it out! I would really appreciate that you leave me a comment there!

A BIG thank-you to Lawn Fawn Stamps WCMD giveaway, this was the prize... and that's how I made the cards with Ornate ornaments. Isn't Kelly Marie sweet? I love her wrapping...they even match with the LF packaging!
Here are the fall scenes in my backyard...
and two happy kids.

When I told the kids when I found out about this Eye Spy feature, they were "super excited"....and responded dryly: "Ooohhhh... how....ex--ci--ting...."  as they had their eyes fixated on the TV show "Modern Family"! Then one of them said:" Go brag to your stamping friends, they would understand! hahhaha..." (both of them laughed their heads off).  That's the kind of support I get from my kids (LOL)!!So yeah....I am bragging sharing the excitement here.

Enjoy your day!
**edited note:  here is the shout out from Lawn
I am so thankful for this hobby!

Lawnscaping Challenge #20

It's been a while since I made paper-pieced cards! As soon as I saw the challenge over Lawnscaping , I know I can't wait to play with my new stamps!
The Ornate Ornaments are perfect for my old stash of Basic Grey paper!
Merry Christmas
Here is the close-up. The Liquid Perfect Pearl Dimensional Glue is so much fun to use!
If you haven't tried paper-piecing lately, perhaps it's time to give it a go!? The big stamps (with lots of blank space) always work beautifully! I feel like being a match-maker when I do paper-piecing! All you have to do is find the right MATCH!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Textures....More Textures!

When I rekindled my love of card-making 3 years ago, I was in desperate need of crafting/stamping supplies. One of those first few tools/gadgets that I love to buy was the Cuttlebug Embossing folders. As you know, they come in so many shapes, pattern and styles. Now I have accumulated quite a few (too many, if you ask my family) since then, I find myself do not use enough of them. Have you experienced that?

The Moxie Fab World's Textured to Perfection Challenge prompted me to look at textures all over again and of course, my very much neglected embossing folders came to the rescue! This LOVELY set Craft Room from Clear and Simple is SO fun to play with. I hope you are not tired of seeing me playing with it.
your craftroom or mine?
The "painted wall paper" was created by using one small strip of CB folder. I ran it several times and then distressed the surface with distress inks. I created the "wood floor" with the wood grain folder and distressed it with Antique Linen. I also splashed some "paint" on the wall to create the "mess". This sure is a fun card to make! Without the textures, this card would have been so bland and down right boring!
your craftroom or mine? (close up)
As you can also tell, I applied some Glossy Accent onto the paint brushes. Love that shine! I plan to send this to a crafting friend! Hope you get creative with your embossing folders! You may want to re-visit them soon!

BIG BIG thanks to you for voting for me (see finalist). I had a BLAST with the voting on Market Street Stamps Block Party. About the voting, I sincerely thank my dear friend Lin who started this thread for me over Hero Arts Flickr Group which is the BEST stamping group --EVER! I sure feel the LOVE!! And oh...I even bugged my daughter to share the voting on her Facebook page and even troubled my sister-in-law to spread the words! Winning or not over Market Street Stamps, I sure feel like a WINNER.... thanks to your support and love!

Dad:Virginia, what are you doing? I thought we're eating dinner.
Mom:What?! I want to watch this movie! *Mom carries plate to room with TV*
Steph:We're supposed to eat together!
Dad:Yeah you want your kids to become obese?
Mom:What are you talking about?!
Steph:There are studies that show that eating together as a family reduces obesity.
Dad:Same goes for teenage pregnancy!
Mom:Huh? Sure I'll be pregnant! You want a third child?
Dad & Steph:Ugh. *Mom returns*
Mom:Stephanie, what are you eating?! ICE CREAM?!
Dad:You see? If you were here earlier she wouldn't be eating that!
Steph:Mmm obesity...
