Have a Beautiful Day!

Hello friends!
When I saw this Hero Arts die,
I had a vision of using this die!!
....Yeah, so I have to have this lotus die! LOL.
This is a "partial Die", meaning that only the pointy part of be cut, the rest stays uncut. I am happy to see that Hero Arts came up with dies like this. You can see another die (a pineapple) like this here.

Today is the day to share my result.
I wanted to use watercolor and make it colorful. The added fun foam underneath provided the needed stability and subtle dimensions.
have a beautiful day
I could have left the background un-colored, but I think the light minty green really makes the lotus POP.

About this card:
~With a piece of Canson watercolor paper, I made die cut with Stitched Rectangles and then Frame Cutting Large Lotus
~ carefully color the background with Distress Inks and water
~color the lotus with Distress Inks and water--one petal at a time, let dry
~stamp the leaves (at the bottom) and sentiment
~embellish the design with gold thread and sequins
~adhere the entire panel to a cut fun foam,
~ gently pull up the petals and assemble
~add sequins and gold thread

As always, I share my ideas and process freely as to how I create my designs in the hope that it will inspire you. I sure hope that you are having a beautiful day!

This card is lovely. I've been seeing those dies and wondering how to use them. Your coloring is excellent and you are so right, the mint green does indeed pop the flower. You patience to color each petal ... amazing, especially because the subtle colors are natural looking. Lovely, lovely.
