I have been having fun creating mail-friendly cards lately. Here is the link if you miss seeing my first one. I have a little surprise for you at the end of the post.
I set out to make it nearly as one layer. I masked a border with a piece of thin paper and Distress Inks (Blue Print, Tumble Glass, Dusty Concord and Wild Violet). That part of ink blending was FUN.
With the help of MISTI, I stamped Miniature Florals II from Clearly Besotted.
After that, I decided to keep it airy and light, so I added alcohol-inked Calais Butterflies (Memory Box). This butterfly die is ever so versatile...
you can see my previous version here over Simon Says Stamp store here.
Can you believe that the silver "antenna" was an after-thought? While stitching, I realized that it would be awesome to have two threads hanging out as the antenna. That was what happened :)
Lastly, I want to thank you for watching/commenting/liking my recent video. Please see here, in case you miss seeing it. I am definitely feeling encouraged to make more how-to videos.
Since this card is mail-friendly, I want to mail this VERY card to one of the random commenter. I know in this day and age, leaving a comment is time-consuming and challenging. I really appreciate my regulars. I will include Sweet Flight metal die as my small token of thanks.
All are welcome (international followers are included).
