I don't know about you....but I love using a large cling stamp because
Scarlet Majesty has so much to offer.

Look at my example and you'll see that this stamp is perfect however you want to stamp it.
In this card, I totally ignore the fine lines and details and I manged to stamp something red in the middle. And guess what? It doesn't look that bad at all!
If you can see the subtle shine, that is because I pounced some Perfect Peal after all the stamping. It's like you have to add some light finished after you did your makeup, so to speak.
And of course, I use my trusty MISTI to do the proper job.
The color-layering is one of my favorite things to do these days.
This card was 100% stamped without any embossing. This is the wonder of watercoloring which allows you to contain the wet/dry area without messing/mixing up the colors.

Stunning. Question - did you ink up the stamp and then spritz with water to get the watercolor look? Did you ink up with all the colors at once or one color at a time? Thank you for sharing your talents with us.

foleysfriend/Sue: it depends. Most of the time, I inked up part of the stamp, but I do ink up the entire stamp for the cohesive look as well. So , you can say , I do both. Hope this answers to your question!

Elaine: I stamped Khaki Dye Ink ( forgot to add the link) from Simon Says Stamp for the Script background on regular white card stock. As for each stamping, I did spritz water nearly in between each stamping as Distress Inks work beautifully with a tiny bit of water.

Your card is so beautiful and I just love that image. I recently got the stickers with that image and now I want to own the stamp itself. It looks great the way you inked it too. I don't think there is a right or wrong way of making a card with that stamp. And, I love that sentiment and have that set of verses too. They are getting a workout on my holiday cards as well.
Your card reminds me of lovely watercolor. Watercolor is my favorite art medium; and thanks to your examples, I've made several cards lately using watercolor. I am saving for a Misti as, I think, layered stamps are excellent.
