Hello friends!
This is the card I made yesterday...
I felt like seeing SPRING colors and what better ways to put it on my card stock with inks!?

This post is prompted by an event that happened to my daughter two days ago.
Stephanie is nearly at the final phase of finishing her PhD in Public Health.
It was a tough day for her at work in the university as she found out what she did in the last two days was "for nothing" (in her own words). 😞
With Stephanie's permission, I am now sharing her Facebook status that recounted the event:

💓a note and a treat from a kind random person 💓
This awesome gesture really touched our hearts, as you can imagine.
With that random act of kindness in mind, I want to pay it forward to you-my faithful and kind readers/followers/friends.
I am giving away a $15 gift card of my favorite online store!
This will come in handy for your next order during/after the holiday season. Every little bits count.
It's not a lot, but it just shows my appreciation to you and I hope that you get the positive feeling of "Random Act of Kindness".
I am sure you'd agree, we all need more kindness in this world.
So, a random winner will be picked from all of the recent comments in my posts. No rules or science involved. I will announce the winner on my birthday (Dec. 9th) right here in my blog.
Also, big thanks to those who shop through my Simon Says Stamp and Altenew affiliate links (see top side banners). There will be more giveaways like this, I promise you.
Thank you for your support and feedback as always.
Back to my card....
I made with one of my favorite Altenew Floral Shadow
I used my new Altenew Sea Shore Mini Ink

As for the sentiment, I didn't like how I stamped it.....I ended up doing a oval die cut and embossed it in white. The colorful paper was my own watercolor paper with TH Distress Ink Spray.

My own DIY Nuvo Crystal Drops are awesome for embellishments. I just need to remind myself to make bigger droplets on my acetate sheet. Once dry, they look just like enamel dots.
ALSO, I also am sharing an You Tube video on using We R Memory Keeps Stamp.
You can watch it here (more in my blog post next)
Last but certainly not the least...
use code SSSBFS and get 15% off (one day only)
or
use code TAKFIVE for $5 off your purchase (till Nov. 28)
I am now affiliated with Altenew online store. That means, when you make a purchase through my Altenew links, I will get a small commission at no additional cost to you. I appreciate your support.
Don't miss out...this really is an amazing sale!

Beautiful card, Virginia. Always good to hear good news or kind acts. :)
You did the same kindly things to me, thanks for sharing stories like this, Virginia!
The card is beautiful and such pretty colours, made me smile lots.
That was such a kind thing to do, I do hope you daughter is doing ok. Sending lots of hugs xx
Love your daughter's love and heart for the people where she is right now... thank you for sharing the story, Virginia.
Today's card is so lovely and beautiful!
A little bit of kindness goes a long way ... it restores our faith and hope.
And what a pretty card - love the colours.
What a wonderful story. We do need more kindness in the world. Thanks for sharing this story and your happy card. Have a wonderful weekend!

Today is gray and dismal in Michigan....so your card was a treat for my eyes. The colors are soothing, the sentiment is lovely especially since you used embossing and it stands out. Random acts of kindness are lovely for both the giver and the receiver....simple thoughts and/or generosity one person to another.
Beautiful card, Virginia! Love Stephanie's story too!
Love your card! The yellow reminds me of daffodils, my favorite flower.
love this story and thanks to you for paying it forward. we need more kindness in this world!
Brought me to tears--so moving to hear stories like this. Thank you for sharing, Virginia. Your card is stunning--such beautiful colors & does make me think Spring. Unfortunately, I just placed an order for Altenew (could not resist the 50% off that included ink pads!) & didn't realize you have the link--will use it next time. You're very generous & kind--enjoy the weekend!
What a lovely gesture towards your daughter! I love the colours you've used for your card, and the enamel dots you made yourself.
You did it again - awesome use of color!
Hi Virginia! Sorry I don't always post on your blog but rest assured I read every post! Thanks for the opportunity to win a gift card. This card is so gorgeous - I love the colors. Hope your daughter finishes her PhD with flags flying!
Lovely card! So happy to hear that your daughter's difficult day was brightened by the RAK. Thank you for offering your own!
Oh wow! Such a gorgeous card!!! Love so much the beautiful colors!!! Thanks for this sweet giveaway!!!
We all should be involved in acts of kindness, whether is large or small-I am a recipient of yours! What a delightful story. Your card is so pretty! Love the softness of the background and I do think your sentiment looks great!
Thanks for sharing the act of kindness, love hearing these! Your cards are always stunning! Thanks for your continued inspirations!
A beautiful card Virginia. And isn't it wonderful to have a stranger be so thoughtful. And...thank you! for your unwavering love of sharing! You have inspired so many. Happy thanksgiving to you and family. Hugs
Beautiful story, and I hope your daughter is ok.
Your card is so beautiful, it really made me smile, with the beautiful colors. Thank you sharing :)
Such a heartwarming story! <3
Your card is beautiful, Virginia! And I might be misreading (or even missed a post about it), but you made your own Nuvo drops?!...Can I ask you how?... :)
Wow, this card is so beautiful with those gorgeous colors! Wow!
Beautiful floral card, love the color combo and your daughter story of the stranger's random act of kindness is so touching. Thanks for sharing the story, a wonderful way to begin the holidays.
Thanks for sharing your daughters story and happy December birthday. We celebrate three brithdays in December 8,12 &13 for my hubby, youngest daughter and me!
Love these colour combination, very cheerful and happy card. Love your doughter story. Hwo lovely to be surrounded by kind people.:)
Love this burst of colour in a dark, gray day. So I'm wondering how you achieved the varying "layers" of colour - did you stamp some of the images multiple times using your MISTI?
Awesome story from Stephanie... glad you shared it with us! Shows us that a small gesture like this can be so meaningful!
Beautiful card. Love those pretty colors!
Such a sweet story, love it! And what an incredible card! Those flowers are beautiful!
I'm so glad someone was there to support and encourage your daughter when she needed it. I have prayed that everything will work out for her. Thank you for the chance to win the gift card to Simon as a random act of kindness! It will definitely brighten someone's day!
I love the colours on your card, and just know that it is bound to cheer up the recipient of it! As to the story of your daughter's kind stranger, wouldn't it be awesome if more people were like that, but unfortunately there are more people of the opposite mindset! I hope that she is feeling better now, sometimes a little thing like that is all it takes.
