Hello friends!
I am popping in with another card that I made with
I adore this lovely die from Penn Penny. This die is so popular that it is now back in stock (for now).
If you love birds and holly, this is it. Also, this bird die is good for all year round. You can even double up the birds and make anniversary cards. OR you can have multiple birdies to create a "from all of us" type of cards....the possibilities are endless.
The intricate bird and holly provide GREAT mileage for any type of cards.
Since the bird and holly come as individual pieces, I used the holly with the tan mat to create a textured background. This can be easily achieved by sandwiching the Tan Embossing Mat with two thinner plates (such as the B plate in Cutlebug).

This is a really great way to stretch a die!
I also inked up the edges with Distress Ink and this seems to accentuate the textured background.

While we are on the subject on using DIES...more Die-cember goodness are on their way!

I am quite impressed with the monthly kit that comes with the Lawn Fawn Shammy Cleaning Cloth (valued at $7.99)! Shop here.
I also want to pass on a sales special over Altenew (LAST day today!).

I am visiting my in-laws this weekend. The weather here in Nationa Capital of Canada is FREEZING! I can't wait to be back home in my cozy bed....

It is absolutely freezing here in NS too, supposed to be better tomorrow!
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
I just had to comment on your outstanding coloring of this bird and the holly he is resting amid. Delightful. I never remember to use my dies for embossing, so thanks for the timely reminder. Hope your weekend visit was fun and your family stayed safe.
Love the dry embossing and the bright colors on the die cuts!
