The textures from Rustic Linen is perfect for ANY style of background.

Other than stamping twice with  Rustic Linen,
I also used Altenew's Watercolor Washi Tape to add interest.

hi (2)

The sentiment is consist of the design paper and gold glitter tape (from The New Day Card Kit).
The NEW Fine Alphabet Diesoffers great modern and trendy look.

Ding--->  Dress up your dies with a piece of  Washi Tape

You can see the example "HI". I used Gold Glitter Tape with the word die. All you need to do is
1. apply it onto the card stock
2. position the die (depend on where you want the shine!)
3. run it through the die cut machine. Voila!

Simple? YES. Do you do that often? Probably not!

Hi-002

Hi, Virginia! Such a nice card - I have that gold washi tape and have used it to cut out words, but not partially like you did. Now I will have to try that!! And, yes, I would love to receive some mystery happy mail from you!! LOL

I would love to see what kind of wreath you'd create. Always open to seeing more of your talent to inspire me. The idea of using washi tape for die cutting - you're a genius!

A wreath made with Garden Silhouette flowers would be a perfect use for this great stsmp set.
Happy mail from you would be great. The card I received from you is proudly displayed in my craft room.
Love your card with the different vases. I am constantly picking flowers from our yard and wildflowers I find and putting them in various small containers/vases.

So beautiful Virginia and the Washi on the Hi sentiment looks great. I really like the Rustic Linen stamp as I think it would be great for masculine cards (or any type but I struggle with cards for men). The Garden Silhouette set is one of my faves, I'd LOVE to see a wreath made with that!
Side note: IF I 'were' to win your mystery pack, would you mind "rubbing it with a little crafty talent" before you mail it? Thanks! HAHA

Pretty card!! Love the Rustic Linen background stamp... you are right, it's such a versatile stamp that can be used anywhere. TFS your washi tape technique. Love the look and will definitely try.
As to your questions... Yes and Yes. I would love to see your card using the Garden Silhouettes in a wreath design. Wreaths of any sort are a favorite for me. And yes, it would be awesome to receive mystery happy mail from you!!

Cute design. Love the rustic linen background. I would like to see you make a wreath with this set.

This stamp set is intriguing and, I think, very versatile! I love your 'vases' of flowers. If you make a wreath using these stamps, I will look forward to seeing it because the stems make me think there would have to be a lot of masking, then again with a Misti maybe not. I really like the rustic linen background stamp....so many uses! I've never used 'washi' tape, perhaps I should give the tape a try.

Silhouette stamps are always so beautiful and stylish. I never thought to add washi tape to my word die-cuts, your a genius!!

Such a gorgeous card! I love how you used the washi tape with the Alphabet Dies. beautiful technique.

Let me begin by saying that you did a fantastic job with your card!! I really like how you stamped the flowers with different colors! Absolutely gorgeous!!!! You asked if we would like to receive happy mail. Although the stamp set is very pretty and I really love what you did with it, I have to be honest. Flower silhouette stamps are not my thing. I prefer either the lined version of a stamp or the layering version of a stamp. Although this is pretty, the flowers look like blobs to me. But let me finish by saying, your card is beautiful!!!! I love how you took the "blob" images and turned them into something beautiful!!! I would never be able to do that, even with my Misti.

That washi tape is so opaque, I couldn't see the seams! If you didn't say it is a washi tape, I would think it is a stamped image, or you just brushed it yourself.

I love the pretty colours and that beautiful background.

I always find so much inspiration on your blog! I love the idea of adding washi to the die cut letters. I have so much washi and am always looking for a creative way to use it up.
