Add a WOW Factor to a Sentiment

Hello friends! 

You know how often I post floral cards here.

 But today, we are having something a little different than my usual.

I like to share a card with JUST STRIPES!

I find my stripey stamps do get enough of use and want to use it in a creative way.

I am using this large Gradient Stripes stamp from Altenew as my example.

First, I stamped the entire image in blue with the help of MISTI. Once I was happy with the impression, I turned the paper over and stamped it in mint green.



As you can probably tell, I added some deeper color with the smaller stripes. Therefore, they are not all in one same color.

Now, how do you add that extra special something in the hidden message?

Ding----> Before the die-cutting, apply a piece of silver glitter tape to the (stamped ) spot where the sentiment will  be. 

I then ran the paper through the word die "thanks" and you will then get this sentiment with a strip of silver in it! Super easy to do. However, you do need to plan this ahead to make it easy.  In addition to this, I glued two more pieces of Thanks die underneath the top one (stamped stripes with silver washi tape).



 I hope that you are inspired to try using your large graphic stamps in creative ways! Allow yourself to play with the stamps and you will be amazed the ideas that you can come up with. It worked for me! HERE is my previous post about adding a piece of Washi/shine to a word die.
