Alcohol-Inked Larkspur (an Altenew Post)

Hello friends!
Today's my turn to share a project with you over Altenew Card Blog.

I am popping in with another edition of Larkpur.
Here is my first card that I shared a few days ago.
Just when I thought that I was pretty happy with my first card, I thought how can I "top that"!? 😁
Build-A-Flower: Larkspur

This time I wanted to try using alcohol ink and this was the result.
Alcohol Ink can be very bold and bright. For my card today, I want to soften it up a bit....
Altenew File1

I absolutely love the details and line in the outline stamps and I really want to show them off.
So, I did a whole bunch of white-embossing on my DIY Alcohol-Inked vellum.
You can use Altenew Artist Markers for this and get fabulous results.

Artist Markers 36 Color Set
Artist Markers 36 Color Set

(Artist Markers color that are great to this color combo: R702, R926, R823, R705 and R403)

They are so easy to create yet the results of these Larkspur and leaves are stunning!

I love it when the beautifully-designed stamp set can really makes designing easy and fun.
To keep the flowers even more interesting, I added a piece of Dotted Washi Tape in the background.

Adding the Dotted Washi Tape was an impulsive decision......
but most of the time, I trust my guts! 😉
And that is exactly what I did.😊

By the way, Altenew is having the Artist Marker Sale!

Always trust your instincts because they are so good. Just look at this amazingly lovely card. Both the vellum flowers and foliage but the dotted washi add to the cohesiveness of the design.

Hi Virginia, I left you a long comment on the Altenew blog yesterday regarding this card, I don't know if you were able to see it. This is I think my all time FAVORITE card I have seen from you, I adore it, it is just STUNNING, I just remember saying "WOW" out loud when it came up on my screen, the vellum flowers are just so beautiful, I just adore them, I have never made flowers out of vellum but I am going to now. I love the addition of the washi tape. It is good to be back online, missed seeing your beautiful cards. Hugs
