I am excited to share card that I made the other day.
This card took me quite a while to finish.
Its not because it was hard, but it did take time for each layer to dry.
If you see the photos, you would know why good things do take time (sometimes).
I started out with stamping the bird first.

All the ink-coloring and layering are done with Distress Oxide.
I then add a layer of color wash for the background and gradually added details (splatter, stamping flowers at the bottom... etc). The flowers (on the lower right) are from Nature's Art.

blue and love how it sort of blended with the background that I created.
And oh...did you see the glitter? It was easy to add that bits of glitter.
With the 2-Way Glue Pen and TH Distress Glitter, I absolutely LOVE the result with so little effort.
I hope that you enjoy seeing cards like this.
It was a JOY to create something with nature stamps as they make you feel like an artist!

Wow--this is so pretty.
So beautiful! Love the colors & the blue sentiment. Awesome card, Virginia!
Your little scene is magical and playing out in my backyard as I type this. The addition of the glitter really makes it super special and adds the all important texture. Going to have to try stamping sentiments in color...I don't think I've stamped them before without adding EP, but I like the look.
Love all aspects of your card. The background is perfect for the sweet little bird and I love the placement of the bird in the top corner and the flower in opposite one. I have the vintage platinum Distress glitter but was not sure how to use it ( other than for Christmas themed cards), so this helps me a lot.
So very pretty! I love the bird!
Love the addition of the glitter and the edge design around the border! Pretty card!
WOW Virginia, this is gorgeous! It certainly does look very artistic, well done!
