Remember I asked if you like to see how I created a wreath with Garden Silhouette?
Well, here it is!
I must say it wasn't bad at all until....
the ink pad landed squarely (or shall we say oval-ly since it's an Altenew ink pad) on the nearly-finished image! grrrrr....

I used Halftone Heart Die as the mask and stamped the wreath along the line of the heart die.

After my mishap, I tried again and stamped a bit better than my first try.
So, there is always a silver lining, right?
My heart shape wreath was not as perfect as I would like it to be.
I then decided to add a piece of vellum heart to add a bit of dimension and interest ( mainly to mask the slight imperfection of the wreath).
I actually like it much more after adding the vellum heart. This makes a elegant wedding card!
The take-away lesson? Don't. give. up.
I am glad that I tried again and really learn something and try to do something a little out of the norm. And that is a good thing.
Stencils, ink sprays and Washi Tape are my favorite things.

Beautiful card Virginia. I love the Garden Silhouette set, its so pretty. Yes, a good idea to move the stamped image aside when opening an ink pad, I think we have all learned that lesson the hard way. LOL

There was a silver lining for sure-- I love your second card. The vellum is the perfect finish to an already elegant card. Would be beautiful for a summer wedding card.
We should all make mistakes more often on our first cards if the 2nd comes out as gorgeous as yours did!
Almost everything can be fixed until, of course, you drop the inkpad face down. Really happy that you weren't daunted by the boo-boo because this is the quintessential Virginia card. All the details, including the vellum heart, make for an amazingly beautiful card.

Oh my, your experience with your ink pad made me smile because I've done the same thing too often! This card is lovely, I especially like your colors, the vellum heart is a wonderful touch!
Now that's an ink smudge that couldn't be covered up with a sequin! Your end result is beautiful! The vellum looks so soft and elegant and I love the colors you put together for your wreath!
Well, here are two beautiful heart cards and it was ashamed that the first one got all the ink on it! Gorgeous cards though! Love your ink color choices and the softness of the vellum shaker.
