Technique Tuesday #5 (Last)

Happy Tuesday, friends!
It's time for another edition of Technique Tuesday.
This is the last series for this summer.
As you may know that I was just slightly obsessed with the Berry Basket.
shop Scrapbook.com here for $13.87
shop Simon Says Stamp here for $24.99

(edited: I rarely post product price as they are pretty close in price range among stores.
But this particular item shows a big difference. I thought you might like to know.)

This is what I came up with this time.
The best times are with you

This card truly is a labor of love. It does take some time to create.  However, you know me, I would go extra mile for my card-making!!  Since most of us are more of a visual learner, the following photos should help you to see how this card came about.

the best times are with you

I really worked with the Berry Basket. To make the basket more intricate and colorful, I white-embossed the Strawberry Stamp . I used Distress Crayons to color the images. These crayons work best with direct contact with paper, especially with kraft card stock.

the best times

You can find all the latest Technique Tuesday at TT shop here.
Currently, Scrapbook.com offers the most varieties of TT products and a very fair price (see here).

I also love the idea of using a toothpick with the sentiment. This Berry Basket is perfect for this.
the best times are with you-001

I also white-embossed and fussy cut the Berry stamped images (with the matching dies' help).
I then arranged them in the basket. Hope you like today's post.

Here are two previous cards with this lovely die set.
Remember-001for you-001

If you like to see this TT series this coming fall, please leave a comment.
If there is enough interest, I will kindly ask Technique Tuesday to help me continue this feature. AND perhaps they will offer my readers (YOU) a chance to win some TT goodies delivered to your door!? They have done this before. Here's hoping!

Don't forget to enter my summer giveaway if you are using the links to make any purchase.
Thank you for stopping by!

Love the basket. I haven't tried Distress Crayons on colored cardstock and also directly applying it to the paper. Your technique is something I would like to try. Thank you for sharing!-Maria Giselle B.

Thanks for once again showing the difference in pricing between companies. I never shop at Simon Says. Not only are there prices outrageous but their shipping is as well. Your basket is adorable. Love this die.

I have really enjoyed the Technique Tuesday series, I hope it continues! I really like all your berry basket cards. Today's is really pretty with the painted basket. I have Distress inks, Distress markers, but no crayons-- must get them to try.

Please continue Technique Tuesday. You have inspired us with the versatility of your projects. You have done an excellent job portraying a humble basket in many different ways.

Technique Tuesday should continue this series with you. You really vary each card which allows the customers to be inspired and stretch the products. LOVING what you did with the basket this time. It is so pretty by itself but adding the fruit and flowers enhances it perfectly and the sentiment treatment with that toothpick is brilliant.
