Altenew Build-A-Flower: Japanese Mum Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Happy February, my friends!
s
It's time to share another exciting Altenew Build-A-Flower with you.
If you come from the blog of my talented friend  Vicky Papaioannou, you are in the right place.
s

This image has SO much details. I absolutely love how the stamp and die "do all the talking"!

Altenew-BuildAFlower-JapaneseMum-Virginia#2
I started out stamping the flowers and did some masking.

Altenew-BuildAFlower-JapaneseMum-Virginia#5

To highlight the purple Mum, I stamped all the color for each layer.
Altenew-BuildAFlower-JapaneseMum-Virginia#1

I then ran the flower die with the Tan Embossing Mat through the die cut machine.

Altenew-BuildAFlower-JapaneseMum-Virginia#3

The sentiment was then silver-embossed and it surely goes well with the color combo!

For final touches, I embellish the background with some splatter and enamel dots.

So many great ideas on this card. Love how you used the outline stamp to do different colored flowers for the background, then only colored in the purple flower. But to use the die to emboss the outline. Wow! I never thought of that! YFS

The dry embossing of the main flower, the butterfly, the splatters, and the little heart = gorgeous! I would have probably done the sentiment in gold but you are so right - the silver looks amazing. I really must start using it more lol. Thank you for sharing your card and for the always awesome inspiration! (mardy14@bellsouth.net)
