Add Splatter with Embossing Paste

Hello friends!
Here is an extra post for the weekend....hope you are enjoying it!
I am popping in to share another idea on using Altenew Embossing Paste.
First, I want to share bird photo. This Mr. Cardinal has been visiting me in my front yard in the last few days. I had many chances of snapping some great photos. This is one of them.

Card #2 - Copy
 Isn't he sweet?

Please know that there are GREAT SALES info for this Memorial Weekend.
I have listed the details at the end of this post and updated at the side bar daily.

In the Altenew stencil release, I shared the rainbow-themed hello card.
Many of you commented how you love embossing paste with colors
I used Altenew Brush Watercolor Markers because the colors are just the right intensity.

One thing for sure, you have to wait till the embossing paste to DRY!
You can use heat gun, I believe. But I'd rather do the natural way, this would definitely avoid cracking or warping.

You can get these Weekend Doodles for 15% off over Simon Says Stamp
today and tomorrow. Quantities are limited, so do hurry if you want this bundle!
Today's card has a touch of splatter on the paste.
Thank you

I stamped the Weekend Doodles on pattern paper.
I then  die cut two of the wreath and doubled it up.
Not only this added some color, it also creates some depth to the wreath.

Thank you-001

The Teal Shadow Washi Tape fits quite nicely with my wreath design.

thank you-003

For the splatter, I used Dusk Mist Spray .
👉You can create ink splatter by using Watercolor Brush Markers or add water to any of the water-soluble ink (such as Altenew Ink, Distress Ink, Distress Oxide....etc).

thank you-002
Hope you enjoy today's post!

I love the way you made two very different backgrounds with embossing paste. I didn't know that you could color the embossing paste AFTER it dried! I will have to try that in the next couple of days. I also love the combination of using the washi tape with the dark teal coloring, and then spraying that second card with a dusk mist spray. Thanks for sharing your ideas and expertise! Margaret R

You have made me think "try embossing paste", but I'll wait until my arm is stronger. Each time a cardinal visits, I trhink of my dear sister with love.

Such a beautiful composition of embossing paste, patterned paper and washi. So cohesive and easy on the eyes. Spatter took it up a notch, too.

Such a beautiful cardinal picture! Love the effect of stacking and staggering the wreaths. I love the texture that adds on top of the wonderful embossing paste background. The splatters and enamel dots really add a lot to the card. Love the Weekend Doodles set.

So pretty! I have some embossing paste but I don't use it often enough. Love the texture it adds!

Oh, I love Mr Cardinal! How sweet <3

And your first card with the embossing paste and the rainbow colours is simply gorgeous. I really cannot say how much I love that card, in particular. Thank you for sharing ideas on the new stencils as well.
