Hello friends!
It is my turn over Altenew Card Blog to share a project with you.
It is my turn over Altenew Card Blog to share a project with you.
In today's post, I am sharing how I created my own paper with background stamps such as "Graphic Brushstrokes". You may not see the obvious use of this stamp set in my finished card. However, once you see my project, you will totally get it! I am using "Pleasant Pansy 3D Die" to illustrate my example.
To start, I stamped "Graphic Brushstrokes" with various colors of blue. This was easily made possible with our blue ink collection ( Deep Blue Seas , Cool Summer Night and Lapis Lazuli).
As you can see, I stamped the Brushstroke in various shades of blue and then I die cut the "Pleasant Pansy 3D Die". This process helped creating the organic look on the Pansies petals. Based on the colors, I strategically die cut the various size of the petals. You can also use the one solid Brushstrokes stamp (included in this set) to stamp ANY color of your choice for the flowers and leaves.
For the leaves and stems, I simply inked up the green (from Spring Bouquet) onto white card stock. By following the insert, I was able to assemble the Pansy without any problems.
My next step was to stamp a "frame" for the Pansy. The versatile "Dot Art Stamp Set" is great for stamping any type of background or borders. I stamped the "thank you" sentiment with Obsidian Pigment Ink and the corner stripes in Gray Denim.
I chose muted tones for the background, so the Pansy's color would stand out. You can stamp any colors with solid stamp set such as "Graphic Brush Strokes" for this purpose. You can create any colors of petals for 3D dies like "Rose Flurries 3D Die Set", "Fantasy Floral 3D Die" and Garden Picks 3D Dies .
