Hello friends!
I am happy to share a project (featuring Poinsettia Poem)with you.
Normally, it takes me about 30 minutes to an hour to create a detailed card.
Today's card was created in a few sessions of 30 minutes. I thoroughly enjoyed the process and didn't find it time-consuming.

This image is so detailed and beautiful. I decided to do no-line coloring.
I do not have lots of confidence in my coloring in general.
However, I am quite happy how this turned out.
When it comes to no-line water-coloring, I almost always use lighter ink such as "Antique Linen" for Distress Ink or Distress Oxide.
Coloring each Poinsettia leaf one at a time and just let loose with the coloring...
Once I finished coloring, I colored the images lightly with the metallic ink (white and silver work the best). This process leaves the image a touch of shine and make the colors look more cohesive.
I took a bold move and die cut the center with the smallest "Stitched Loops"
I added two colors to brighten it up. Underneath the rectangle die, I added a strip of gold foil paper, so you can see the shine underneath.
I really like the colors pop in the middle and this really emphasizes the sentiment, too.
Of course, I had to add some gold strings to jazz up the festivity of the design.
Other than that, this card requires no embellishments.
I encourage you to take out a stamp and start coloring one little bit at a time....
Through this exercise, you will truly experience the joy of coloring/crafting like I did.

Amazing Virginia. Love how you have die cut the sentiment and coloured to make it pop. This is a very clever idea.
Amazing watercoloring Virginia!
This is beautiful! And the shades of red/pink are perfect!
So very pretty!!
Such a beautiful card! I love how you highlighted the sentiment and gave the dimension! :)
A truly lovely card and the sentiment is excellent!
Wonderful and beautiful. Love the colors and how very joyful the card feels.
Your time certainly was well spent...this is an intricate image and I admire your grit. It's almost heroic that you chose no-line coloring on this card. You really did a terrific job. It's gorgeous.
Your coloring is beautiful!! Love this card.
Wow Virginia - what a beautiful watercolor panel you've created!! Just love all the extra shading touches you've added - so much shimmer!!
This is beautiful!
So pretty! Love the poinsettias!
Love the shimmery look you got using the metallic watercolors. The metallic thread is such a lovely addition. I also like the red, green, and white against the kraft card stock.
