Hello friends!
I am back with a simple card.
This time, I am using a few simple elements from Happy Pomegranates

A few key elements are highlighted in this card:
metallic shine, shape, focal point, colors, balance and flair.
OK, the title says that there is a video....please watch it at the end of this post (only one min).

Metallic Shine: I actually have these leaf pieces leftover from previous projects and decided to put them into great use. The leaves were colored with the Altenew Metallic Watercolor.
Shape: I then took out my gold-embossed Geo Frames Stamp & Die Bundle and popped up the square frame. This Geo Frame & Die are not cheap, however, this set is very unique and versatile. If you are looking for basic shape dies, the Geo Frames Stamp & Die Bundle is a great option.
Focal Point: I then decided to stamp the sentiment in colors instead of the usual black.
Colors: The sentiment (in fuchsia and orange) not only gives the cards some needed pops of colors and it also elevated the entire design.
Balance: I kept all elements in asymmetrical and yet, they still looked balanced thanks to the Rule of Thirds.
Flair: I stamped the leaves in the backdrop, added strings and splatter. These may seem minor, but they do make the design "come alive". Thus, do not be afraid to add your own touches and personalize it. I hope that you enjoy reading this card analysis and hope it inspires you.
So..... this video was filmed during the Altenew Team/Meet & Greet in Syracuse this past August.
I shared my thoughts about crafting. I must say that I was relaxed during this interview. The film crew did an awesome job to make me feel so. I may not look the best ( I don't like my moon face!), but my feeling and words were genuine. I hope that my thoughts resonate to you, my dear readers. ๐Please go and give it a thumbs-up ๐ if you like it.

I am so proud and privileged to be part of this crafting community. The last 10 years was one of the busiest and craziest part of my life. Crafting keeps me happy and sane.๐

thanks for sharing this beautiful card and all about it's details. I loved your video. This really is the best ever hobby - I've made some wonderful online friends and even managed to meet a few in person. Maybe one day, we will meet Virginia.
Great design and I like the framing and metallic sheen. I enjoyed the video too.
I love that gold twine in the background and what a beautiful video!
Such a beautiful card! Great color combination :)
Beautiful card, Virginia!
Great video, too! I totally agree!
Yes, your Virginia touches make your cards extra special. I love how you pay attention to design points.
Incidentally, you do NOT have a moon face...you have a very pretty face and I love it.
Lovely card! And, I agree with your video - I don't know where I would be without crafting. I have been crafting my entire life, and I have found that the most treasured moments are when I crafted with friends or was teaching to new crafters. The next treasured times were when I gave my crafted projects away.
Thanks so much for sharing the video! It was so nice to see and hear your thoughts on this wonderful hobby of ours. I enjoy the actual card making, but enjoy the shopping for supplies as well. Nothing makes me happier than a friend or relative telling me they save the cards that I make and send to them. Thanks for the step by step tips on your pretty card today.
I think you spoke very well & summed up what crafting means to me too. Virginia, you say you have a moon face, well, I have a long narrow face, (like a horse). The way you wear your hair frames your face beautifully & you are indeed very attractive. We can't choose what genetics gives us, but just make the best of it all. Each time I see the Happy Pomegranate set, I like it more & more. Great card by the way.
