Now that we are into December, it is most appropriate to share a wintery card.
What inspired me first was this Crystal Frame Die from Penny Black.
This frame die set comes with may elements. First, the two frames can be used together, interchangeably or individually. I used the small inner frame to create this TREE card Simple Elegance. There are two pieces of snowflake and the sentiment "Let It Snow". I can see this can be used in SO many ways!
I started off with a ink to paper approach. I smeared the Distress Oxide
(Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio) directly to the watercolor card stock. I then sprayed it with a few spritz of water. Once dried, I did the die cut and ended up with the gorgeous frame!

I don't ever get tired of stamping and coloring the birdies and so, that's what I use for the focal point.
I also added a light yellow background to the birdies. I then stamped "happy winter" and completed the snow with white Pico Embellisher (can be substituted with Nuvo White Blizzard).

The Crystal Frame die makes the perfect frame to surround your sweet little birds. The colors you used for the frame really enhance the birds. I just ordered the Pico Embellisher ( you used it recently on another card) and am anxious to try it.
