January 2020 Inspiration Challenge

This month, I am excited to host January 2020 Inspiration Challenge over Altenew Card Blog!
The usual Buld-a-Flower will resume on the 7th.

I love my neighborhood and surroundings where we have a wonderful wooded backyard and gardens. This month's inspiration photo was taken right from my front yard in the late Fall.  I adore the deep rich color combo of the berries and greens.

I started out with stamping a background with Dot Botanicals Stamp Set. I love the ease of using this set and stamped the leaves in various colors: Frayed Leaf, Hunter Green, Snapdragon, Pale Mauve and Grape Agate. 

 To accentuate the purple, I highlighted the purple with the Metallic Watercolor 14Pan Set.

Once I was happy with the stamping, I ran the entire stamped piece with Dotted Swirls Debossing Cover Die. Instantly, my stamped background has interest and textures!  For the sentiment, I applied the gorgeous Gilded Ombre Washi Tape over white card stock and die cut it with Miss You Word Die. 

I strongly encourage you to try this color combo and create something unique! Your projects can be floral, graphic, CAS or layered.... sky is the limit! I look forward to checking out your creations!
