The Beauty of Dies

Hello friends!

I am popping in with a quick post about Altenew Dies.

But first, I want to thank you for your amazing feedback in all of my blog posts.
When I share my work in this very blog,  I do not pretend that I am good at certain things (such as coloring) and you welcome me as I am. No judgement, only encouragement.
For that, I am so very thankful for each and everyone who visit my blog and leave me some blog love!! I do not take your positivity for granted!

Currently, they are 20% off on all dies.
I am going to break down the die categories and use my previous projects as examples.
I have added my own interpretations about these dies and hopefully, they are helpful to you if you are not familiar with the types of dies.

1. 3D Dies:  Die sets like these allow you to build up the 3d images with each piece. Often times, the flowers come in multiple pieces and can have up to 4-5 pieces of layering. These multi-step dies are more work, but they are amazing once you put them together.

2. Sentiment Dies: Sentiment dies can make a big and bold statement and rightfully so. You can always add your stamped images around it or have a play with the words and images. Choose sentiment that you will use often and all year round.

3. Cover Dies:
This type of dies COVERS the entire card. You can keep it simple and use it alone. You can use part of the cover die or dry-emboss them. They are more expensive, but they are definitely more versatile than you think.

4. Coordinating Die: These dies always comes with the matching stamp set and they will cut exactly around the stamped image. Depending on the intricacy of the stamps, the dies certainly make it easy!

5. Stand-alone Dies: these dies can be used on their own or can be paired with other types of stamps and stamps. Look for dies that you can use for all occasions. They are fun to create if you love trying out new techniques or media!

6. Geometric/Shape Dies:
These dies are your basic die arsenal. You can layer them or use them with your favorite stamp sets. They are great for grouping images or can serve as background.

7. Layering Dies: These dies comes in layers. You can layer them up or use each one alone. They can be small (like the butterflies below) or as large as a cover die.

The breakdown of the dies was helpful. I tend to just think of the dies that coordinate with the stamps and the stand-alone dies. You made an interesting point about the heart die ( looked at the newest post first as I got behind), for us. It to overlook the smaller, inexpensive ones.
I have a few smaller ones and some smaller stamps sets which I use a lot.
