A 10-Minute Sympathy Card

Hello friends!
It is hard to make a quick card sometimes.
Last night, I was just not "feeling it" to create, so I challenged myself to make a card within 10 minutes. I also made the color scheme in muted tones... as I was feeling sad and melancholy.
Thus, a sympathy card.

I am still in love with Halftone Watercolor and thought this stamp set makes everything easy!

Step 1: stamp the image in Grey (Silver Lake)
Step 2. emboss it in clear-embossing powder

with deep sympathy

Step 3: ink-blend the image around the outer edge
Step 4: ink up the Birch Impressionism (one of the layering stamp) at the bottom
Step 5: stamp the sentiment in Obsidian

with deep sympathy -001

Lastly, I want to mention that my favorite Mini Ink Cube from Altenew is this Misty Morning Ink Cube (it's 30% off now). Did you know.... there is a designer shop feature? Please check out my recommendations HERE.

If you are ever lost for finding the right color combo, I would recommend any of the ink cube sets.  They are formulated to color-match and they give you assorted color variations. I love them!

When you're not feeling it you still create beauty.

A beautiful thoughtful card Virginia. Love the flowers in the grey tones and what a beautiful colour combo for the background.

That is a magnificent card! I really love the details at the bottom, and who knew that you could use the birch stamp detail to create that line? Just gorgeous!

. The detail at the bottom is really a great addition to the floral image. Hopefully working on the card helped to lift your spirits. I love the ink colors in the Misty Morning set too. I am slowly buying the mini cube sets and always use them for my layered stamps. I also write down color combinations that others use making cards ( specifically when you have 5 layers to do and 4 colors in a set). Thanks for pointing out the designer shop feature.

This is lovely. It is a very comforting combination. I find myself taking forever to create, so I will challenge myself tonight to make and share a completed card. Thanks for the inspiration.

Great take in 10 min!! Creative use of the birch stamp at the bottom! I find sympathy cards and masculine cards the most difficult to make! Thanks for the inspiration :)
