Hello friends!
I am popping in to share a birthday card.
Winsome Wreath
I had a grand time coloring the images from Winsome Wreath with Distress Oxide.
Winsome Wreath
I had a grand time coloring the images from Winsome Wreath with Distress Oxide.
After coloring the image, I find it a bit "blah"....
After positioning the "Stitched Circle Die" over the wreath, I ran the entire card and tan embossing mat through the die cut machine. This resulted a textured background.
Next time, when you think your images looks a bit plain, you may want to get those dies out and add textures! I hope today's post is inspiring to you!

Great tip! I love the added texture and design!
I love the card, the wreath and the bright colours,
but I agree with you that the embossing adds a
little more to the whole effect!
Beautiful textured 'wreath' card :)
Great idea to add a textured background for more interest.
You are right about texture, Virginia - sometimes it makes all the difference (IMO)! Love how you added texture to your pretty wreath!!
The dry embossing adds so much detail to your card. It is a pretty wreath by itself, but the added texture adds so much interest. Like the delicate nature of the wreath and the embossing detail!
Beautiful card and wonderful stamp!
You had me at dry embossing...the card is beautiful and gorgeously colored before the embossing. The texture it adds takes it all to another level.
Such a beautiful card!
Oh so clever!!
Good tip. I recently made a card that needed a bit of something and wasn't sure what to do.
What a great idea to add in the texture background to the wreath. Will have to keep the nugget of information in the back of my mind, next time a card just needs something else.
