I am popping in with a card that I made yesterday.
This time, I took out Simon Says Stamp Peony Bouquet Stencil and did some watercoloring.
Here is the result.
With practice, I think I will get better at watercoloring. With the stencil firmly in place, I was able to make the peony look defined and colorful.
This is a very enjoyable exercise. I strongly encourage you to get your stencils out and try watercoloring. The key is the control of water.
With too much water, you run the risk of muddling the entire image.
You can see my images do not not entirely have the same saturation. That is something I need to work on. However, this is the first try with a stencil (that has large opening space). I find the result is somewhat encouraging and will try soon again.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
