Hello friends!
I have a super fun and cute card to share.
Normally when you use a stamp and die like this, you wouldn't think of doing "Partial Die-cutting".
About the stamps and dies: Relax and Unwind when you're creating with this sweet clear photopolymer stamp set by Penny Black. The set includes 2 clear stamps on a 3" x 4" storage sheet. The stamps can be used with an acrylic block, your favorite inks, and the coordinating Unwind dies (each sold separately).
I set out to create with the die and came up with the idea of "Partial Die-cutting"
Through my card, perhaps it gives you an extra ideas on using dies and stamps like this.
As you can see the top panel of the bear of cut off.... thus the partial die-cutting.

I took advantage of the white background and stamped the leaves all over it.
For my coloring, I used Zig Brush Markers. I may have colored the bear too brown....
but in the end, I think I like it!

I took the stripy pot stamp from Groovy Greenery and stamped yellow all over.
It's 2nd stamp from top down (2nd right). I love love love using small stamps like that.
A note about "Partial Die-cutting". All you need to decide first is....where is the cut-off line!
Once you determine that, you can draw a pencil line and align your die cut sandwiches and run through the die cut machine.
With this close-up, I hope that you can see my "cut-off line". It was not die-cut perfectly, but it certainly is do-able. The top part was the area that got completely cut off with the die. The bottom part was left uncut (with no sandwiches inserted) during the die-cutting process.

Adorable bear, Virginia, and your browns are perfect!! Such a cute scene with the partial diecutting!!
so super cute
I love your partial die cut scene! The repeated pattern of the small stamp you used reminds me of a sisal rug that is perfect for your little bears tropical paradise. Cute, cute card.
This is simply adorable Virginia. Very creative - both the partial die cutting and the inspiring use of a small stamp.
your is sweet! I have not mastered 'partial die cutting' and I am
back.
So fun, Virginia - and the partially die cut portion adds such whimsey and interest!!
Super cute card and I love the partial die cutting you did. I have to remember to do that more often too.
Very nice mix. Good example of how to not have everything filled in with color, but still make an impact.
