The Messy Kind of Watercoloring and The "Light Bulb" Moment

Hello friends!

I am popping in to share some messy water-coloring, yes the loose kind of water-coloring. I find that ink-smooshing is perfect for me to manipulate water and watercolors.

In case you are not familiar with ink-smooshing, basically, you take a piece of acetate and inked up paint and water and off you go. Start smooshing....

hi

It is never perfect, and yet it gives just the right amount of  organic "artistic flair" that I can not produce. that's the beauty of "ink-smooshing".

HI

For the embellishment, I took out the Lacy Panel and trimmed it to fit the card.

Ding: do not let the shape of die limit your creativity. Die cut or trim to make it work for your projects. If you like the patterns and you are not sure if you can always use a square.....alter it!

hi -001

For the sentiment, I used the new Linear Pathway Alpha Solid and Outline Die Bundle with my own inked paper.

Beautiful! Love the less structured
look you achieved with the smooshing!

Really like the ink smooshing. Really does look like loose watercolor. The Lacey panel is a wonderful addition to the base of the card and really helps the greeting to stand out.
