Add Colors Without Coloring

 Hello friend!

I have a happy and bright card to share. If you are not in the mood to color, can it be possible to add colors without coloring?  I am using the following stamp set as my example.

(Delectable by Penny Black)

This time, I avoided coloring and added tons of colors and details onto the background. I am an impatient stamper and this is what I do. I'd rather stamp than coloring most of the time.

You can ink-blend a colored background like this. I used it with Gel Plate.make a wish -001

I find the ease of "printing the colors" onto the surface. The key is to plan out the focal point and masked area.

I swipe and inked up the Distress Oxide onto the Gel Plate. From Top to down: Mustard Seed, Kitsch Flamingo, Salvaged Patina.

You may think I used more colors, but I really used three colors. the color blending created these extra mixed colors! This is why I love Distress Oxide.

This is fantastic and many times I don't feel like coloring but I think I could handle doing something similar to this.

Your gel press really worked beautifully to add color to this card. The cake image looks fabulous over those colors with the added details on that diecut panel.

The cake looks so pretty in the mustard seed kitsch flamingo and the salavaged patina--will need to try that combo. Love the addition of the enamel dots for added color.

I love the idea of not having to color every layer and it is so colorful too!! The added dots added great dimension too! Super fun and easy!

Great background using Gel press and oxide inks, it is nice not having to color every stamped image. Card is very cheerful!
