Let's Get Text-Savvy!

Hello friends!

Altenew-BAF Fashion Monger Dahlia-Monstera Leaves3D Embossing Folder-003

I hope you are having a great day/night so far. I am back to share another take with this month's build-a-flower Fashion Monger. You can see my first post HERE

Today's post is about using the text for your background. I think sentiment/text is one of the best ways to stretch your stamp sets.  Often times, we see beautiful handwriting style and fonts in the text designs. Why not utilize that aspect in your stamp designs?

Repeated Stamping is likely the easiest way to create a background. When you see my example here, you get a good idea on how it's used.

I could have left the kraft card stock blank. However, the stamped sentiment "affection" is much more impactful this way.  I had a lot of fun stamping the leaves... the intricacy and details of the leaves are un-be-leaf-able!

I added some fine lines around the rectangle with fine line pens.  That makes this stamped design stand out even more.

I highly encourage you to look at your text from a stamp set and see what you can come up with.

Here are my two projects with the same stamp set. Cool, right? Thanks for stopping by!

Fabulous card Virginia. It really is great to use a sentiment this way. Your leaves are lovely and all over an awesome card.

Another technique to try...and soon. Anyhoo, both card are gorgeous. Love the 1st one for the colors and texture and the 2nd for the tropical vibe and always love the details on both.

I like a text background but never took the initiative to do it. I will need to make the effort and try it soon. Beautiful cards!

I like the idea to use the word stamps as a background. I like the look of several different fonts. I haven't done it, but will give this a try.
