Altenew Seasonal Textures Stand-alone Embossing Folder Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes

 Hello friends!

Warning: Super-heavy photo post

Welcome to Altenew Seasonal Textures Stand-alone Embossing Folder Collection Release Blog Hop! I am super excited to share 4 dry-embossing projects with you.
If you arrive from the blog of Verity Biddlecombe, you are in the right place!

For all the details about this blog hop, please visit Altenew Card Blog

Feature products #1: Classic Pinecones Slim 3D Embossing Folder

Altenew- Classic Pinecones Slim 3D Embossing Folder

I know that slimline cards are not for everyone. However, if you want to create quick holiday business card size, this is a GREAT one! Not only you can create cards with sophisticated dry-embossed patterns, you can even use it for regular card stock. ๐Ÿ’กThis folder is NOT strictly for slim cards only.
Altenew- Classic Pinecones Slim 3D Embossing Folder-001

I LOVE to add colors to the dry-embossed images. This one is so easy to do as the pine needle and pine cones are easy to distinguish. You can apply inks directly to the folder and then run it through the die-cut machine. You will have these gorgeous images with great depths.
Altenew-Classic Pinecones Slim 3D Embossing Folder-Nesting Slim Rectangles Die

I stamped the sentiment from Dry Brush Poinsettia Stamp set--love that set!
For my 2nd card, I did something that I have never done before.....
That is, incorporate embossing into the dry-embossed images!
Altenew-Linked Ovals 3D Embossing Folder-All About Thanks Die-002

Here's how I did it----๐Ÿ’ก๐Ÿ‘‰ I simply swiped and dabbed the embossing ink to the folder and then quickly run it through the die cut machine. Then, pour the Antique Gold Embossing Powder over and heat set it..... you then see the magic happening in front of your eyes!

Altenew-Linked Ovals 3D Embossing Folder-All About Thanks Die-003
I paired the Poured Acrylic Paper Pad  with the versatile All About Thanks Die and it worked beautifully with the dry-embossed gold background.

Feature products #3 : Modern Wishes 3D Debossing Folder
Altenew-Modern Wishes 3D Debossing Folder Modern Wishes
This card requires little instructions.... ๐Ÿ’ก die cut a circle, ink and dry-emboss! Isn't it cool?
The best thing is that you can use ANY colors you like and they will all look GREAT!

Not gonna lie--> This card took some time to create. However, the result is so satisfying!
As you can see, I colored all of the surface of this embossing folder.
๐Ÿ’ก๐Ÿ’ก These are TWO sides: The bumpy embossed side (the heart and Christmas tree) and the smooth side (yellow background).

Altenew-Winter Foliage 3D Embossing Folder-Dry Brush Poinsettia Stamp Set-001

There is no order which side you do first, but I did the background first and then the tree and heart.
After inking and detailing, I gold-embossed the sentiment on vellum and adhered to the backside of the card.Altenew-Winter Foliage 3D Embossing Folder-001
Now you might want me to do a video with all these inking process. BUT I highly suggest that you simply play with them and give them a try. You will be amazed how much you learn simply by playing and experimenting. Feel free to book mark this post for your future reference.

I should try the technique of inking the embossing folders, either with colored ink or embossing ink. I did paint over an embossed panel before. Thanks for sharing your ideas! Congratulations on another Altenew release!

Pretty cards. My favorite is the pine cone card. I live in the Pacific NW where we have lots of big fir and pine trees, so this card would be great all year, especially for masculine cards. Great idea to get the slimline folder and use it for smaller or slimline cards.

It's amazing how different the creations are with the same folder!
