As a Spellbinders Influencer, I will be featuring a brand new Embossing Folder each month. Along with Clear Stamp and Die of The Month and Card Kit, you can find all of my Spellbinders in the first half in each month. I will miss creating with Small Die (this month's is a goodie!!).

Valentine's Day cards do not have to be pink or red. I took this as a challenge and made an overlay with the embossing folder.

    Be my Valentine (EF)

Definition of overlay (Entry 2 of 2)
: a covering either permanent or temporary: such as
    a : an ornamental veneer
b : a decorative and contrasting design or article placed on top of a plain one
c : a transparent sheet containing graphic matter to be superimposed on another sheet

    be my Valentine -001

I combined my favorite elements and created an alcohol-inked vellum. It was such an easy thing to do, but the result is organic and stunning.

    1. use a med-heavier weight vellum (80 Lb)

    2. run the vellum with the embossing folder with diecut machine

    3. ink up the colors with alcohol ink.

    be my valentine

The paper, embellishments and sequins are part of the Monthly Card Kit.  The gold-embossed sentiment is from Clear Stamp and Die of The Month.

    be my valentine -002

I am excited to share a new embossing folder creation and hopefully, we can learn and grow together. I hope that you enjoy seeing my interpretations with the embossing folder. I have a few more to come. Thanks so much for stopping by!

The alcohol inked vellum overlay is really striking. The touches of pink are pretty with the teal background.

This embossing folder is a goody, too. Love that your card isn't pink or red and that it looks kind of like a shaker with all the color on those tiny hearts.
