Beautiful Love Ensemble

Made With Love Stamp & Die Bundle, 

Magical Mirror 3D Embossing Folder

 

 

This Beautiful Love Ensemble is definitely my favorites in this release. But first, let's start with the background. It is dry-embossed with the Magic Mirror. This embossing folder and stencil not only can be the focal point, they serve as wonderful background as in this card.

 

 

 Next, it's about that rose and leaves.... they are from Made With Love Stamp and Stencil.


 

 The "secret" to this understated and yet classy background? This set of ink  has my favorite Vanilla Cream! The background remind me of the ornate and stunning wall decor in some European castles.

 

 

 

Be sure to get the coordinating die if you do not care for fussy cutting.

I stamped the leaves round the edges. The leave stamp from Buttercup Stamp set 

makes a great compliment with the Magical Mirror Die Set.

 

 

 The Brushed Copper Card-stock die cut like butter with the Mirror Die Set.

 I highly recommend Brushed Rose and Silver Metallic Card-stock.

Keeping the design simple is key when it comes to dies such as Magical Mirror Die Set. This intricate and detailed exudes that sense of class and elegance.

I love the sentiment from the Mushroom Greetings Stamp and Die Set

This card is nearly one-layer thanks to the stenciled design.

I also can not stress enough of the gorgeous Spectrum Fresh Dye Ink.

Add That Extra Shine Without a Mess!

 Hello friends! 

It is my turn (last one) sharing projects over Altenew Card Blog. If you love adding shimmer and shine to your projects, today's project will definitely pique your interest.

Better yet, it will NOT leave you with a glitter mess! We are using Altenew Glitter Gradient Cardstock! It is best to share my example through this Build-a-Garden Bougainvillea. 

 

 This stamp and die set cover the entire A2 card size. I am using the technique called "Inlaid Die-cutting". This is where the stamped/diecut image and glitter cardstock become seamless.

 

First, you stamp and stencil the image as instructed by following the guide on the package.

 Next, use Gradient Glitter Cardstock and run the coordinating die across. Once cut, save the negative pieces and leftover glitter cardstock and put the stamped and diecut piece back together like a puzzle.

You can totally skip the "Inlaid Die-cutting" part and simply add your die cut image over the glitter cardstock. However, the Inlaid Die-cutting makes this design more peerless and polished.

 I made two cards with the Build-a-Garden Bougainvillea by using two variations with the Glitter Cardstock."Thanks for all you do" card has just one strip of Glitter Gradient Cardstock (Golden Sunrise) as accent.

   

I hope that you will now look at dies and Glitter Cardstock with fresh eyes. You will be amazed once you try out the Inlaid Die-cutting. Also, this is my LAST time sharing projects over Altenew Card Blog as a design team member.

Another Way of Using Embossing Folder

Hello friends!

I am sharing a project with the use of embossing folder. This Craft Your Life Project Kit : Sweet Buttercups is available for subscription before Sept. 2nd, 2023. 

 I want to take this chance to thank you for supporting me with my Altenew DT (starting from 2017). I will talk more about moving forward with my blog later on. Back to the kit.....

 I am fully aware that subscription kits like this is expensive. The Embossing Folder in the kit is truly a bonus for creating projects. Here in my project, I simply used it for background.

 If you are starting out in card-making and your budget allows you to subscribe/purchase, this project kit will give you lots of chance to practice and explore techniques.

 For the main images, I stamped, stenciled and die-cut the Buttercup flowers and leaves.

 It is super easy by using the same shades/inks for the background and leaves.  There is one big release blog hop coming up this Thursday (Aug. 31st) and it will be my last one as a design team member..... alas! Die-Cutting with Color Paper

 Hello friends!

I am back to share more Christmas inspiration. Spellbinder July release with Christmas collection has some excellent choices. HERE is the August release.

  As mentioned in my previous post, Christmas Birds Poinsettia Etched Die is a stand-out. This die set everything you want in a Christmas card. It has a bird, candy cane, holly, leaves, poinsettia... and evergreen stem.

 

 

 

 First, let's talk about the background. Initially, I was going to dry-embossing the Vintage Ornament 3D Embossing Folder with all kinds of colors. However, once I embossed it in color cardstock, I liked it how it is.

 

 

The depth and details of the Vintage Ornament Embossing Folder are most impressive. I definitely will try more colors and inks on this folder. (Shop Simon Says Stamp, Scrapbook. com )

 

 

 Now we are onto the topic of color paper. Yes, all you need are some good quality color paper pad like THIS that I used. I just made an order of this one and this one. They are on their way to my house! 

 

 

 It did take me a while to assemble the little birdie. However, once you know the pieces, it's easy to do.

A Special Stenciled Card

Hello friends!

Hope you are doing well. I am popping with a stencil background card. Do you have stencils that are not being used? It's time to get them out to play. 

When it comes to creating a border or background, stencils are such wonderful stand-by! My project today may inspires you to rekindle the love of stenciling. 

You can use the Fine Alphabet Die for this purpose. I used Mighty Alphabet (sold out) for the word "MOM". This is also a reminder for you to use the alphabet dies in your stash.

When it comes to stencil background, feel free to use any colors that you wish, especially when they are in the same color family. 

The die cut leaves are from Tropical Bloom Stamp Set.  

 Don't be afraid to get inky! The shades of green are so beautiful, aren't they?
