Show & Share Winner Announcement

Hello friends!

This month's of Show & Share (see here) is a huge success!
I had so much fun checking out everyone's creation (56 entries!!) and left some of the participant some blog love! I apologize if I miss visiting yours, I will try harder next month! πŸ˜‰
I was astounded to see SO many beautiful entries that I decided to.....
start a new feature for the winner announcement post.

That is, I will highlight a few stand-out projects among the entries!
The purpose is to thank you for entering the challenge with such great quality work.
Also, I hope that through the shout-out, more crafters can admire some more and leave some love!

For those who get a shout-out, please feel free to display this in your blog/Social Media! You deserve a recognition! YAY!

The first one that caught my attention was Maura R. Her use of colors are so striking!
Maura used Calming Reverie to create this detailed stamped design.
This card is packed with details (down to every speck of the droplets!)
Next, it is Greta's color mix with the stamp and die that took my breath away!

This spec-TAG-cular tag is eye-catching and beautiful from LBL.  SUPERB stamping.
Linda used Vintage Rose and Garden Trellis Cover Die.
LBL-Vintage Rose Trellis

Last but not the least, it's the embroidery from Cindy C. that makes me gasp with delight! Cindy used "Celebrate US" (Altenew/Pink Fresh Studio) to create this beauty!
So, what do you think? I hope you enjoy these eye candy from these talented crafters!  Please keep up with your good work and yours might be getting a shout out in the next "Show & Share"!

It's All about Text

Hello friends!
I am popping in with a quick card. What do you do when you ran out of place to stamp your sentiment? This happened when I was composing my card design.

I had a grand time playing with the Ephemera with the new Enjoy The Ride Scrapbook Collection.
be happy

I simply ran out of room to put a proper sentiment. I decided to use one small stamp and stamped the text over the large flower. I love the look of text...this one works fabulously!
be happy -001

I hope that this reminds you to stamp text on paper (any paper or pattern paper). This really helps adds interest and textured look!

enjoy the ride

These are the 3 cards that I created with Enjoy the Ride Collection.

Use Small Stamps with a HUGE impact

 Hello friends!
It is my turn to share DT projects over Altenew Card Blog.
When it comes to using small stamp sets, do you have trouble finding more ways to use them? Well, if so, this post is for you! For me, part of the fun in stamping is to stretch my creativity and use the small stamp to the max.
https://shrsl.com/2goko

I am using Mini Delight Cactus as my examples. I am breaking down the tips and hopefully, your will be able to use your small sets of stamps effectively.

All products are affiliate-linked at the end of this post (at no additional cost to you).
Tip #1: Look for patterns in your stamp set. If you look closely, every set of stamp set (even floral ones) has some kind of pattern that you can do repeated stamping.

You may have seen this card during our Instagram Blog Hop. I used the lined stripe of the cactus and created a soft blue background.

Tip #2: Utilize the Coordinating Die of the stamp: I die cut the pattern paper (Essential Rock Collection) and then added the stamped cactus and cement the pieces with Washi Tape ( hidden behind the cactus). This smooth surface makes the overall design even more appealing and interesting.

Tip #3:  Use pattern paper with your stamped images: I recommend that you examine your paper pads and find ways to use with your stamped images. I bet you will come up with many ideas!

I was inspired by the yellow watercolor paper ( Celebrate Paper Pack 6x6) To me, this looks like the hot Arizona sun and is perfect with the cactus.

Tip #4: Add  textures with the die: I ran the Round Maze Die (with a tan embossing mat) through my die cut machine. I now have an interesting background for the cactus. This stamp may be small, however, it is impactful with a backdrop like that.
08292020-Mini Delight Cactus-CheckerBoard-RoundMaze Die (2)

To ground the cactus, I used a small piece of stamped Checkerboard and Gold Foil card stock.
I popped up the cactus after adding Antique Gold Sequins and Antique Gold Thread.

#5. Stamp multiples: since it is a small stamp set, why not create more?  I stamped two cactus to double the fun and impact!
08292020-Mini Delight Cactus-CheckerBoard-We StandWith You Stamp Set

To strengthen the sentiment, I used "We Stamp With You Stamp Set". Like the previous card, I embellished and grounded the images with the same supplies.

All three cards were stamped and colored with the Summer Fun Mixed Media Ink Bundle. I hope these tips offer you creative prompts to use your small stamp set in BIG and IMPACTFUL ways!

Stretch That Border Die (Part 4)

Hello friends!
I am back to share my 4th take with the Floral In "N" Out Border Die.
Thank you for your postivie feedback on my previous 3 versions.

Let me refresh your memories with what I did previously....This was my 1st card with the die.
DSC_0172

Then...my 2nd take.
thank you

Then... the 3d card.
thanks

As you may know already... I love using dies for dry-embossing.
thanks -004

Of course, I would not pass up the chance to do so. Therefore, my 4th version is just that.
thanks -005

You can use a shim along with your die cut machine. With a tan embossing mat, the die makes a print and won't cut through.
thanks -003
I then took a piece of foam and inked up the surface.
As for the die, I used Bold Thanks Die
thanks

With the same colors of ink, I stamped Paint-a-Flower Daffodil on both sides of the dry-embossed image.

It's been a DELIGHT to share these 4 versions of Floral In "N" Out Border Die.

Altenew August 2020 Scrapbook Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello friends!
I am excited to be part of the Altenew Scrapbook collection Release Blog Hop.
This collection is full of fun, whimsy and beautiful paper and ephemera!
If you arrive from the blog of Bea Valint, you are in the right place.
If not, come and join the fun hop for ideas and inspiration.
You can find all the details and inspiration over Altenew Card Blog.

My first take with the collection is to use the gorgeous paper and ephemera pack.
Altenew-Enjoy The Ride PaperPad-Burlap Texture Die-Blooming Ephemera

I know how much you already love the Burlap Texture Die.
This die does look amazing no matter how you use it. I left most of the die in tact and insert it back into the background.
Altenew-Enjoy The Ride PaperPad-Burlap Texture Die-Blooming Ephemera-002

I love creating some motion with the bike. Therefore,  I added more threads.
Altenew-Enjoy The Ride PaperPad-Burlap Texture Die-Blooming Ephemera-003

To keep the thread from "flying", I added enamel dots.
Altenew-Enjoy The Ride PaperPad-Burlap Texture Die-Blooming Ephemera

The paper collection is amazing as it takes all the guess work out as what to match. I really really enjoy using paper pack for this purpose.
Altenew-Enjoy The Ride PaperPad-Burlap Texture Die-Blooming Ephemera-004
The bike ephemera is just icing on the cake!

My 2nd card is nearly the opposite. I made a die cut right through the paper.
Altenew-Enjoy The Ride PaperPad-NatureWithin Stamp-Geo Frame Die (2)

I stamped Beauty Within (another popular stamp set) inside the hexagon. Thanks to Geo Frame Die, you can easily incorporate shapes with your floral design.
Altenew-Enjoy The Ride PaperPad-NatureWithin Stamp-Geo Frame Die-001

The butterfly and sentiment are also part of the ephemera pack.
Altenew-Enjoy The Ride PaperPad-NatureWithin Stamp-Geo Frame Die (2)
Noticed the stamped leaves do go rather nicely with the pattern paper? Love that!

ANY way you look at it, you can not go wrong with this paper collection.
Through the hops, I hope you enjoy seeing this awesome collection in full display!
