I have an interesting post to share today. In today's card, I combined two completely different stamps and created a scene. When you use these unlikely combo, what do you get?
The following were my process of masking.
1. stamp the entire image on a piece of copy paper or masking paper
2. cut out the jar as mask
3. before stamping the flowers, covered the jar image with the paper mask on the stamp
4. with the mask in place, ink up the desired image
5. take off the jar mask (very important), then stamp
I applied ink and colored the images with Distress Oxide and some water-coloring. This requires very little water. I didn't want to spend a ton of time on coloring. this proved to be the easiest and stress-free.
At the end, I die cut the entire image with the largest die from Sewing Stackers. This gives the design a very simple and yet polished look. This Sewing Stackers are truly intricate and gorgeous. I have used only the largest one so far and have been impressed with the details it gives. There is no need to measure/trim once you finish your image as it will fit perfectly into the A2 card size.
Next comes the question..... "Where do I place the sentiment?". Much like a secret garden with hidden gems, why not keeping it hidden? I carefully die cut the image with Thanks & Hello Die and added a few more underneath.
