Washi Tape Inspiration and Altenew Warehouse Sale

I am delighted to share a super colorful and fun card with Washi Tape.

The Bouquet Die Cut Tape is one of the many Washi Tape that Altenew released this past year.

However, the Bouquet Die Cut Tape is not like the other. 

This the Bouquet Die Cut Tape comes in rolled form with a long strip of tape. The surface is non-porous.Therefore, Alcohol Inks are ideal for applying colors.

I had a lot of fun using my Alcohol Pearl Ink. It took no time to ink up the surface.

The Alcohol Pearl Ink resulted a gorgeous shine and vibrant colors.

I took out the Fancy Hello Die and added a strip of glitter tape.

I threw in a few gold sequins and this card is done!

An Interview with Preeti

New Year's Card With Bold Numerals Dies

Hello friends! 

I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas! 

Today's my turn to share an Altenew project with you over Altenew Card Blog.

I understand that you have lots to do after Christmas and that is why I am sharing a quick and easy New Year's card. Bold Numerals Die Set comes to the rescue! This is a set that you can use year after year for all occasion cards with numbers. Let's get started with the year 2020, shall we?

I started out with stamping Stone Mosaic Stamp Set on white card stock. You can use any color combination to create your own mosaic. I chose pink ( Cotton Candy,  Snapdragon and  Magenta) and mint ( Misty Morning Mini Ink Cube)  colors for my base. With the Bold Numerals Dies positioned on top of my stamped image, I ran them through my Mini Blossom Die Cut Machine, I got my 4 numbers instantly!

To add shine and strengthen the numbers, I inked up the Embossing Ink and heat-embossed the numbers with Crystal Clear Embossing Powder. Love that shiny and bold effect! Next, I applied the Gold String Washi Tape over a piece of card stock and die-cut it with Geo Frame Die Set.  

 I then adhered "2020" over the die and stamped "happy" (from "Happy Pomegranates Stamp Set") on top. This card is complete! If you are pressed for time, you can use any Altenew Pattern Paper with the Numeral Dies.  It's amazing that you can create any number-related cards in just 5 minutes!

Merry Christmas!

 Today's post is a special one.

There is no new card share, just a good old-fashioned greetings to wish you a Merry Christmas.

I have selected a few my past favorite Christmas cards. 

Wondering what I am up to this Christmas? 

My daughter Stephanie and son-in-law Greg, son David are spending the Christmas break with us. We are having a full house for a change. David successfully completed his first term in Master's Degree (Robotics in University of California in San Diego). Greg and Stephanie settled nicely into their new jobs, roles in their chosen city.

I hosted their parties with their old friends at our house. I only needed to make some pies and cookies.... no biggie! It is always a delight to have the "kids" and their friends at our house.

Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas.

One Layer Beauty

Hello friends! 

As Christmas is nearly here, I thought I'd share a one layer non-Christmas card for a change.

I started with painting the Altenew Metallic Watercolor over the three stripes of Chevrons. 

It was not easy to keep the line straight as I was using watercolor brush and the water can easily seep through the Chevron Stencil.

Once I painted three stripes, I decided to stop.
Hence, I stamped the Classic Beauty and kept it one layer.
