Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello friends!
Yay, Watercolor Brush Markers Release Blog Hop from Altenew is here!
If you own the previous Watercolor Markers Sets, this is another stellar one to get!
I am excited to share a project with the new Watercolor Brush Markers Tropical Fiesta.

If you arrive from the blog of Laurel Beard, , you are in the right place!
All the details about this blog hop, please visit Altenew's Card Blog and Scrapbook Blog.

This set comes with so many gorgeous shades and colors.
I decided to zero in the blue and purple shades.
The new release stamp "Wallpaper Art Stamp" is perfect for watercoloring.

For the green, I mixed a few of the green and blue in the leaves. I also stamped the background with the Trendy Circle Stamp Set.  AND because the watercolor match with Altenew's Ink, it was super easy to find inks that will coordinate with my water-colored images.

I added a bit of textures with Feeling Dotty Stencil and Embossing Paste.
As you can see, I had a lot of fun coloring the image and stamping the background.

The intensity of the watercolors is unbelievable!

Stamp an Abstract Image with a Feminine Twist

Hello friends!

Hope you are having a great day so far....
I am sharing a quick post with "One Day At A Time" Stamp set.

With the release blog hop, some of you show interest in this stamp set...
some of you were intrigued.
My previous card is gender-neutral.

I thought it would be a good idea to see a different take with a feminine twist.
love you-002

There are three things you can easily do in turning a graphic image into a feminine design.

1. focal point: always use the colors to your advantage! I used fuchsia, yellow, orange and purple. It's easy and effective.

love you-003

2. the background: in this card, I partially stamped Book Club stamp image in the background. You can use any color with a floral stamp. I decided to match the colors with the focal Point.

3. embellishments: this is the easy part. Use sequins, glitter, bling...and enamel dots! For masculine cards, I tend to use almost minimal embellishments.

More about this card: the image was clear-embossed. I stamped the edges of the Focal Point with small stamp like "Shades of Love". I hand-stamped each line and glad that it turned out fine.

love you-001

Hope you like my little "analysis" of this card!

The Stamping Village

Hello friends!

I don't know about you, but I do love a decorated envelope when I mail things out.
Here comes.....
The Stamping Village!

Details about this stamp set: At Creativation 2019, one of the largest and longest-running convention-style creative industries trade events, 9 of your absolute favorite brands came together to collaborate on an area of the event called The Stamping Village.
The 9 founding members of The Stamping Village at Creativation 2019 came together so that you could spread happiness, kindness, and love with some truly unique stamps. And while these 9 companies were coming together to form a community, they also believe in giving back to the community as a whole.

happy mail

That's why 100% of the net profits made from the Mail Delivery stamp set are going to The Dreaming Zebra Foundation. This wonderful nonprofit organization encourages children to embrace their individuality, express themselves creatively, and follow their artistic dreams.
happy mail-001

How cool is this stamp set? Thanks to Altenew, I got to stamp with it.
I am sharing a CARD with these stamps. You can definitely use them to decorate your envelops, but even more fun, you can stamp and create a card, too!

First, I embossed the images in white. Then I colored them all with Watercolor Brush Markers.

Simple Stamping

Hello friends!
I am sharing a card that is 100% stamped.
I am using this gorgeous stamp set called "Bouquet Ballet".
love kisses and birthday wishes -001

I stamped the image with Distress Oxide on the regular 110 lb paper.
I also added extra borders (top & bottom) from the Square Frame with vellum.
It's all in the details, right?

love kisses birthday wishes

With very minimum water, I can add a bit of coloring to the iamge without wetting the card stock. I love that option with Distress Oxide. I always use the old Wink of Stella brush for this purpose!

love kisses and birthday wishes

To keep the image interesting and in motion, I added the butterflies from Paper Scrolls Die.
This Paper Scrolls Die is not cheap, but the lovely butterfly die is definitely a good bonus!

I am starting to hear birds in my neck of the woods... Spring is not too far away now.

Stamp Focus: Prettiest Pomander

Hello friends!
It 's my turn to do the Stamp Focus Feature over Altenew Card Blog.
This time, I am featuring "Prettiest Pomander".
Well, the name says it all.
Pomander is a ball that is consist of dried fruit or flowers. They are so decorative and pleasing to the eyes that they often spotted at the celebratory occasions, such as weddings. You may even have seen flower girls or brides maids carrying these beautiful so-called "Kissing-Balls".
My first card is based on its true original form which is a hanging object. Altenew-PrettiestPomander-Virginia#1

By following the guide from the insert in the package, I was able to stamp in the flowers in assorted colors. With the new ink colors ( Lapis Lazuli Oval Set and Spring Bouquet Oval Set), I stamped the blue, pink and green flowers first with the lightest shade to the 3rd darkest.

I then stacked three die cut pieces underneath and popped it up. Do you know that outlines stamps are perfect for background stamping, too?

Adding a silver ribbons seems like a good idea as it adds some shine and interest. I tied the bow and adhered it to the top.

I added white Liquid droplets in the center of each flower. Love that! The sentiment "Congratulations" ( from Wallpaper Art Stamp ) compliments this card nicely.

My next card took a slightly different direction. This time, I decided to add a vase! The Versatile Vases Stamp & Die Bundle are just the perfect vessels for this.

For the bouquet, I stamped it in Jet Black and clear-embossed it. I then colored the flowers in Watercolor Brush Markers (Wonderland).

The vase was paper-pieced with the new Scrapbook "Live Your Dream12" x12" Paper Set .Once you adhered the bouquet to the vase, you then created your own centerpiece! To ground the image, stamping "One Day at a Time" Stamp Set in Limeade helps bring out the color green in the Pomander.

The 3rd card is a very colorful one with minimum layers. I simply stamped with the new March Release Ink Bundle and the result is absolutely glorious!

To keep the flower outlines nearly invisible, I stamped the Pomander in Silver Lake Crisp Ink.

I then covered the Pomander with the coordinating die and applied Deep Blues with the Feeling  Dotty Stencil.

. Altenew-PrettiestPomander-Virginia#7

To add some dimensions, I stamped the sentiment onto one of the plain chipboard from the "Live Your Dream Embellishment Bundle".

With today's post, I hope you get some creative ideas from this "Prettiest Pomander Stamp & Die

I am only showing 3 of the possibilities from this set. Imagine the various colors and pairing of stamps? The sky is the limit and I encourage that you let your imagination run wild!
